What do you guys think about patch 1.9? The Test Realm Notes (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/test-realm-patchnotes.html) are sightly different than the actual 1.9 ones (that I couldn't find anywhere and forgot to copy/paste while downloading), but here are the main points:

The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj - (Two dungeons, a 20-man and a 40-man)

Wee...yay...yet ANOTHER dungeon that takes a dedicaced (and more often than not RP-less) raiding guild to even be able to ENTER, because y'know, it takes an event to open the gates themselves. Enough with pessimism, there may be someone smart enough to start a large player alliance to run at least the 20-man part, like it's been done with Zul'gurub on other servers. I also wish I could witness the "event" where the door opens, too! I hope a Roleplayer gets his hands on the Key first and invites everyone on forums to see that!

Linked Auction Houses - (For Horde, Alliance and Cartel)

Great news! Not only that, but I've read while downloading my patch that the Looking For Group and Trade channels are now also linked between cities! That's a great idea, people will be able to look for SM/Strat/Scholo groups while in Undercity ^^.

Multiple Battlegrounds Queues

Though it's a good idea to allow multiple queues at once, I think this isn't the best Blizzard can do for the PvP system... I've always thought everything would be easier if the battlegrounds were on separate servers and shared by all playing servers... the same twinked guilds would always win, but at least, amongst the masses, you should have less chance to fall on one. ;)

Soul Shard Bags - (20-slotters and more)

Hum let me guess... warlocks that aren't tailors will have to pay a good 20 gold for even the weakest version whose recipe is sold in Gadgetzan. Aside from that, it's not a bad idea to mimic the hunters' way, but I dunno, I guess I'm not a big fan of shard sandwich gameplay. As Asmodaeus (40 warlock), I just try to never use shards outside of pet summoning and a Soul/Healthstone

Raid Calendar System - (All raid dungeons reset on maintenance or every X days)

I pity the guilds that will have to reschedule their whole calendar for that change... But it DOES prevent a handful of exploits (that have been exploited so much the faulty guilds already have a mountain of purples...)

Intelligent civilians

Yey, they won't attack if you're slaying their non-civilian buddies! Maybe epic town raids will have a purpose other than getting Dishonorable Kills now. Wait, they don't.

Druid changes

Woot woot, Omen of Clarity will work properly! Rudrah will get that spell at level 60, I cannot wait to see how effective it is! :)

Paladin mega-changes/nerf

Well, I don't understand smuck about paladins except that they swing their hammer around and throw 5-minutes stuns, but from what I've been told, not many paladins are happy with their new talents and "reviewed gameplay".

Rogue changes

HAHAHA, I make such good jokes. ^^

Tier 2 equipment art changes

I want a red nose to go with my moose horns. @_@
Mages look so PRETTEY with those colors!

So, I want to know what you guys think!

OOC:

Being the guild banker for the Grim, I am very thankful I can return to Thunder Bluff and do everything I need to there. I HATE Orgrimmar.

Other than that.. I have no comment about patches. I generally tend to not read them and just play. :D

I love love love the linked auction houses, linked LFGs and trade, and the multiple battleground queues. The only things that really concern me about the changes is the changes to food and fishing since I'm happily 300 cooking/fishing (what does it *mean* exactly for me) and where do I find those boars that have charge. Other than that, it's all gravy one way or another.

So far it's been pretty good... if you ignore all the bugs that are in it right now. it's nice that OoC got changed but I just changed my druid spec to have mostly feral and Nature's Swiftness!

As for the whole AQ chinese farmer parade for dinky rep...

I don't really like it much at all. It's nice if you're actually skilling up on what you're turning in ( too bad I can't skill up forever on steaks ), it's not as bad. But if you're not, I guess now you have something constructive to do? The numbers seem a bit high and Alliance have to turn in 100k more items than the Horde ( then again, linen's off noob mobs ). Ah, there better be a huge event when this thing does get done. I want a giant golem made of all these tradeskills supplies to smash the gates or something. Or just anything we can all see so all this effort, low rep tickets, and leaving behind many dead wolves are not for waste.

Well so far, I haven't had a chance to play, but I have only heard good things from all my friends who are happily playing. Although I have heard that the Trade and LFG channels have become chat channels now, is that true?

**Four days until this trip is finished and I can play WoW again

I dunno I've sold some stuff I got farming dukes of silithus pretty fast in the trade channel :) although if you are in it there is just so much volume that you want to make sure theres nothing important in any other channel that you'll miss
