Raythan softly padded along the roof, keeping low to the ground and out of view. He was carefully watching Rashi and her human, Silas. Narrowing his eyes, Raythan leaped down to the next rooftop, hiding when Silas looked up.

The strong scent of fresh meat wafted to Raythan's nose, reminding him of his intense hunger. He had not stopped to eat for two days, preferring to instead keep a vigilant eye on his sister. Raythan stole down the back of the butchery, breaking in and stealing a piece of meat from right under the butcher's nose. Raythan headed around the dingy alley, running headfirst into Rashi, standing around the corner.

Raythan leaped back, scaring his sister similarly. After they each caught their breath, they shapeshifted into their elf forms so they could communicate. Taking a careful look around, they began to make complex, small signs that only each other understood.

"Sister, I have been watching you."
"I know. I could smell you from a mile away, but I think the human does not know."
"Fie on him if he knows. At least if he knows that I'm always watching he won't do anything he'll regret to you."
"Oh, you really should lay off, Raythan. He is our friend."
"Our friends, Rashi, are not human. Look, I found some meat for you."
"Found?"
"Here, take it."
Rashi accepted the meat, looking at the blood dripping off it, sticking her tongue out of the corner of her mouth in disgust.
"Oh, don't be silly. You know you'll like it in any other form."
Rashi looked up at her brother.
"Just promise me, brother, that you'll be careful."
Raythan smiled at his sister before hugging her tightly. Releasing her, Raythan shapeshifted back into the familiar cat form as Rashi did the same. After purring a goodbye, he disappeared behind the shop, only barely missing Silas coming around the corner.

Why are you in here, Rashi? I thought I lost you. And where did that meat come from?

Not understanding the strange words coming out of Silas' mouth, Rashi merely purred and rubbed by Silas' leg, scanning the rooftops for her brother's shadowy presence.

Silas straddled her from behind, scratching her ears vigerously. Her purring was so strong, it shook his legs. He was impressed with the large creature. She was so elegant, so agile and swift, yet strong and determined. The cat reminded Silas of himself, however concieted that was.

"Now where's your brother? He didn't seem too happy when I put that collar on your neck. It's alright though, I know he'll come around soon; I've already seen it."

He gave the cat her space, and walked further up the alley. Meeting with the innkeeper, he handed her several silver coins.

"Your room and bed is upstairs milord, I hopes it's to yer liking." She bowed down, directing the Stargazer to the stairs.

"At last, time for a hot bath and sleep," he mused to himself. He didn't often stay away from the Church, but this late at night, and being so far from it, he wasn't up to the journey. He entered the room, finding Raythan laying square center. The cat growled at him as he walked around the room, as if he wasn't laying on the bed.

"Get off of the bed." Silas said. Raythan ignored him. He took off his padded vest, and his tabard. Pulled off his gloves and his cuffs. Walking about the room naked, Silas went back to his bag and pulled out a long, blue skirt. With the gown slung over his shoulder, the Stargazer knelt down and stared Raythan in the eyes for a long moment. The cat began to growl, but Silas continued to stare, unmoving. He shook his head and stood. "When I come back from my bath, you'ld better be off the bed." He wrapped a linen sheet around his body, and left the room.

*Padding softly into the room, Rashi watched Silas disappear into the smaller room for his bath. Going to the side of the bed, she jumped up. Laying close to Raythan, she nuzzled him gently before laying her head down. Raythan opened one eye, glancing at his sister, before purring softly and falling asleep.

Refreshed from his bath, Silas walked into the room. Expecting to find the bed empty, he stopped, seeing both of the large cats on his bed. Going over to them, he glared at the animals.*

Both of you! Off my bed now!

*Rashi and Raythan lifted their heads, looking at Silas. Both blinked but didn't move as they didn't understand his words. Laying back down, Rashi watched Silas. She could tell from his expression and the way he moved his hands that he wasn't happy but his words meant nothing to her.*

*Hearing the commotion upstairs, the innkeeper hurried into the room. Stopping at the sight of two large cats on her clean beds, she yelled and tried pushing them off.

Forgive me, M'lord, I don't know where these animals came from! I'll get them out of your room!

*Pushing on Rashi, she yelled at her*

Dirty animal! Get off the bed! This isn't for you! *Her words came out a jumble of common and darnassian since the woman was a night elf.* Vile creature! I'll drag you out of here by your ears if you don't move right now!

*Raythan lifted his head, growling suddenly at the woman. Rashi soon joined in. Her ears went flat, her fangs showing as she suddenly snarled fiercely at the woman. The fur on their backs stood up slightly as both animals slowly got their feet. The innkeeper stopped, staring at them.* Growl all you want! This isn't your bed! Your place is outside, chained to the wall! *Rashi leaped off the bed, knocking the woman over as she stood over her. Large tendrils of drool dripped from her mouth as she snarled and growled. Her ears were completely flat, showing her anger. Raythan stood on the bed, ready to jump in at a moments notice.*

M'lord! *The innkeeper pleaded with Silas.* There is a rifle above the fireplace downstairs! Help me! *The woman's cries were drowned out by the harsh growling of two very angry cats. Raythan turned, locking eyes with Silas, waiting for him to make his next move.*

"Rashi!" Silas shouted suddenly, as she leapt on the innkeeper. He whistled sharply, catching her attention and making her look up. The elven woman took the cat's distraction as a sign to dart away. She grabbed a dagger from her hip, and lunged forward at Rashi, who turned and hissed, baring fangs.

*SMACK!* was the sound as Silas grabbed the woman's arm in mid lunge.

"There's no need for that," Silas said.
The woman defeated the look of shock on her face, as she backed up, giving way to confusion. The prophet stepped in between her and Rashi.
"You can go on your way now." Silas suggested firmly. The woman quickly turned to the door and fled through it. He turned back, glancing at Raythan as he approached Rashi. She was still tense and visably angry. He petted her head as he passed by, no fear in his movements or gestures.

Silas dropped the sheet in a corner, and pulled a long skirt on up to his waist. Raythan laid down on the edge of the bed, starting to calm. The prophet blew out the candle that kept the room lit, purging it into darkness. The day had been long, and the night now too. "At long last, some rest." he thought to himself as he laid down.

A moment passed, before he sat up, and shoved Raythan off the edge of the bed forcefully. Grinning in the dark, he returned his head to the soft, fluffy pillow.

"Goodnight, Raythan."

*Raythan growled harshly when shoved off the bed. Padding softly to his sister, the two nuzzled each other gently, making sure both were alright. Her ears still slightly flat, Rashi left the room, Raythan close behind. Finding the room next to Silas's empty, Rashi walked in, jumping up onto the soft fluffy bed. Taking a quick look around, Raythan did the same. Laying down side by side, both cats fell asleep, thoughts of juicy steaks and revenge on their minds.*
