Lovely's medicine does not give me the desired effect. I spent all day yesterday feeling very strange and did not go anywhere. But I have tweaked the recipe, referencing the various recipes I have tried before, and today my head feels clear. That might be because I am comparing it to yesterday. I will keep taking this elixir and see how I act while on it. I lessened some of the ingredients that give the "high" feeling and I added some sagefish oil. That reminds me that I should either learn to cook or purchase more magical fish. The effects are always good.
For a few months I have thought about starting a cross-guild organization for the sharing of metaphysical-scientific ideas. I am not confident in my ability to lead such a thing and because I have seen how the rest of the Horde is so secretive I doubt such a free information sharing society would be welcome. I am trying not to keep useless secrets anymore. For some reason I start to panic if I think something "secret" will be found out. Most of the time these are things I should not keep secret, like someone not feeling as dead as they look. From now on I will be as open and honest as I feel like unless someone specifically asks me to keep something secret.
The organization would meet once a month and there would be an agenda decided on beforehand. It would be scheduled and orderly and anyone who speaks out of turn or is annoying can get thrown out or shot or something. People could give demonstrations or scheduled lectures, and we could have a guest scientist each meeting. Clys and Skafloc come to mind of course. I have not met anyone who has created something as interesting as flying monkeys and man-eating guard plants. Someone who is not evil I mean. I mean, someone who I am not killing with a party of four other trained adventurers. Specific problems could be brought up for discussion. Fixing Erastes comes to mind. Moving her soul around failed because we relied on a higher power instead of our own skill and reasoning. I feel silly writing like this. Everyone always compared me to Vironyal and said I was the "sensitive" one, by which they meant the stupid and illogical one. Now I am an alchemist. Ha ha.
I need to find a way to make this sound interesting to others. I am unknown and everyone is going to point out, I am very young. Being part of the Immortalis might count for something. I hope that just making fliers about the forming of the organization would bring the intelligent members of the Horde together for some challenging scientific discussion, debate, and community experiments. I need to put a PS on it that says the organization is not political. "If you give a talk or demonstration that is political or controversial it is up to YOU to defend yourself from the repurcussions." I do not know how to spell that. I am worried about ethics though. Sometimes I want to say, "Yes, Mistress Clys used orphans to figure out how to restore immortality. No one wanted them anyway so get over it." Not everyone thinks this way so I will have to work to maintain neutrality. This is starting to sound tiresome.
I think I talked to Visant about this. I should talk to a few others and see what they think. I get so many bad ideas.
