I realize we have been cutting back on and merging forums. I also realize this will sound insanely idealistic and carebeary - but there is no forum to counterbalance the hate in the Inferno. Previously, in PVP callouts, it seemed a bit more tame - you could make a good-natured @ post and go on with life. Now, it is nearly impossible to leave a compliment (or even reasonable debate) in the inferno without someone thinking "ZOMG SARCASTIC JACKHOLE!" in light of recent RP-PVP lack of agreement on/absolute confusement of certain issues.
What will stop morons from screwing up a WTG posts? Nothing, probably, that's what makes them morons, but that the post was in a place meant for recognizing and praising someone(s) or an event is what should help keep the unnecessary flames down. Hopefully, the short bus won't make a stop there.
Or is that all something that would go in the WoW Discussions area? I dunno. Fact is, these posts do not exist, for the most part, except very tongue-in-cheek in the now very appropriately named Inferno.

Perhaps instead of @, such posts should be prefaced with I <3 U.

On the Melar Danashj guild website we have the following forum category:
Kudos and Happy Thoughts or Prayers Board
"A non-denominational board of thanks and love. Keep religion out of here, but share thoughts, prayers and love. Most of all... Thanks. "
By the phrase " Keep religion out of here" it is meant that religious debate is not what the forum is for, however if one wishes to post a prayer, blessing what have you for someone going through tough times and challenges, that is encouraged. It is also there to pass on " well done " comments and general recognition for a job well done.
Basically, its a conflict-free zone.

It all sounds like a good idea to me, and I would back up a call for such a board to exist. I'll think of more on my side when I...think of more...hehe

THe only gripe Sanctuary has with Sacred Fire is the whole calling-out thing. Now at first, we were all excited, because IC were were like,
"Dude! This 'peaceful guild' is raiding our city! We gotta defend it!!"
Then we got called out for being warmongering, and we were all, "what!?"
Sanctuary doesn't have any real beef with anyone, Alliance side. I've never, ever, EEEEEVER complained about PVP. And I never will! I get killed, I get killed.. but you will ALSO never see Vilmah, or anyone else in Sanctuary, raiding a city. We RP peacekeepers, so that's what we play as. If we wanna raid a city, we roll an alt where that sort of thing makes sense.

I cannot do this alone, but I am not going to stop trying either.
Please don't stop trying. I hope as players of a game we're not actually that bad. Blizzy has designed this game to force enmity between the factions. It really does make it fun, but I don't think that should make communications exclusive.
I picked Horde because I'd already done Alliance. And the Grim, but that's another story.
But I've done Alliance, and I loved it there, too, and I know that I for one don't want this to be a Horde-only clubhouse. I have my Horde-only clubhouse. It's over there. This should be the place where I get to read the really well-written Alliance RP posts like Khael's article, as well as have Hordely fun.
Even if TNG is Horde heavy, I really hope people like you and other Alliance keep working at making sure it doesn't become Horde only. It wouldn't be half as awesome without the other side, I think.
Re: The incendiary stuff, from what I can see, Persefani is losing her grip on sanity (becoming evil, same thing, haha), and Sanctuary's taking the brunt of it, and I think that's awesome. Watching Vilmah pull her hair out is ever so entertaining.

Yeah, you should.. I was harassed several years ago for the most ASSENINE reason EVER.
I told some kid that I hated emo music and was harassed for TWO WEEKS by teenagers. They even spammed my LiveJournal. It was bonkers. Just use your ignore button.

While a good idea in theory, I will not be making another forum for such due to the fact that it would just become another haven for spam. Sorry :(
