I guess even light has darkness. When I opened my resent holy book I was greeted by demonic runes instead of the normal glowing pages. It was horrifying to think that even the greatest of holy men would resort to using demonic power. Drawn to the books writing I read it. I realized that I could gain power without fully relying on either darkness or light. A tome or script or something of that sort could be used to gain the Ultimate power over the light using darkness.
I set out to find it. Leaving everything behind me. New found friends. And my love. All for power. I was a fool to leave that behind. I'm just lucky I'm still alive.
I remember when I arrived there was only pure darkness. Yet it was warm like the light I was so used to. It was strange and I wanted to leave. Yet I continued knowing what I had been looking for for so many years might be right in front of me. When I entered the final hall there was a pedistal in a lite room with a glowing black tome on it.
When I picked it up I stopped to dream of what I could do. Save this world from darkness. Be happy with her and be safe. But it wouldnt be what I'd see.
I opened the book wanting to read its pages. When I opened it the words were written in blood. I read it outloud. I can't write the words for if I did the curse would return to my now cleansed body. But once the words were done. I feel to the grounds in extreme pain like I had never felt before. I saw Styxen getting consumed by darkness and killing everyone close to me. I then when through another life like that of when I was enslaved by Villenger only to find that Nasuj was the new slaver. Then I saw Solenev in a ghetto being beated and whipped by demons and undead and I was standing there unable to move just watching. She was screaming my name wanting me to help her. Yet I couldn't.
My worst fears were realized just by saying those words. When I came to I was on the floor sweating and in pain. On my side was demonic runes saying.
"There is No light in darkness. Only false light. Which will consume."
The runes disappeared and markings replaced it. I knew that I would die from this if I did surpress it. I used part of my remaining strength to remove it. and I journeyed back to my home. Yet I took longer then I would have wanted. Remembering what I had seen. I only could hope none of them would become true.
I then decided to stick with the light I have. For atleast its not a False Light. Or so I'm told...
