AV Flyers at the Dragonmaw camp?

So I've noticed that both Ichman (alliance-side AV gryphon guy) and one of the horde-side AV fliers (I forget the name) are both hanging out at the Dragonmaw camp on the Netherwing island.

Any explanation as to why? I'm currently close to honored with Netherwing, so I haven't seen everything there is to offer there yet.

there is a race that you have to do for a series of quests

each race is another step in the quest, and progressively harder.

the final race is against the big one on the netherdrake, and its a pain in my ass.....
