So many mistakes in the span of just a couple of days. Dio had tried hard to work out how to deal with them, but everybody either hated him, was upset with him, or was hurting as a direct cause of his doing. He couldn't stand it. He didn't know how else to help them.
His elementals were bickering. The balance in his heart that he once had was thrown off. He could faintly hear Ahua telling him not to do anything stupid. The voices faded. His totems dimmed. Eventually all was silent as he hovered on his Wyvern above Shattrath, looking over the city.
He never thought it would ever come to this. But he knew now the only solitude, the only peace he could ever get would be with the spirits of his ancestors.
And what more fitting a way to die than by the elements he had spent his life cooperating with?
Looking down off his wyvern. He'd stripped Kynasra of his armor. The wyvern would fly back safely to the stable and be given to another person. It had no more time with him. Gently patting Kynasra on the head, he slipped his legs off one side of the large beasts body. And let go.
He closed his eyes as the wind rushed past his face. Everything was silent in his mind.
A splash and a crack.
No more pain.
At least, now, others would have time to heal. The ones who he'd hurt so much would recover and move on. And he would do what he should have always done.
Stand and watch.
