I noticed that in the Altaholics forum the TB post was resurrected, yet I hadn't been capable of viewing before a recent post in it. I'm using the site's default settings from when I first signed up about a month ago. I'm just curious if there's a way or some sort of setting I'm missing to see those old posts, presumably from TNG's old site, that people are capable of resurrecting. I don't mind if they're archived and not actually visible. I'm just really bored trying to avoid work and when I noticed the original date of the TB post, it piqued me, 'cause I thought I would've noticed that the day I signed up. :)

You have two options for veiwing old posts.

1) At the bottom of each forum page there is a box called Display Options. There are a number of drop down menus, but you want the one labled From the. Under that if you choose the "Beginning" option it will show all threads in that forum.

2) If you just want to search and not reply you can see all the posts in all the forums by clicking on the Archives link in the bottom right of each page.

Just make sure that if you are going to reply to an old post that you ask yourself the following questions.

1) Is this a dead topic that is resting quietly in it's forum crypt?
2) Is my reply adding something meaningful to the discussion?
3) Could I post a new topic and just link back to this older discussion for reference?
4) Will this act of thread necromancy cause the forums to explode, moderators to go bald and general mayhem and destruction?

Other than that, happy surfing! There's lots here to entertain.
