Resolutions

[Izrail]

The book is simple and bound with soft red leather. It is unmagical and the handwriting is not impressive. The name of the owner is not written on it. But to find it you would need access to the Nex'Cruor estate where it is kept, in Izrail's rooms atop a bedside table.



I do not know about the rest of the Horde but the Sin'dorei and the Forsaken respect people who can read and write well so here I go starting a journal. I have been studying books on grammar and I have been reading literature. I have practiced my handwriting so it is not messy. But I need to practice talking like an intelligent person and writing will do that. I never paid attention to studies. My brother was the "smart one." Now that I know I am smarter than him I know I can do this just as good as he can if not better.

These are the rules for the journal. I will try not break them. They are easy anyway.

1. No common soldier abbreviations like "plz" or "ok." It only looks cool to common soldiers, also known as Cannon Fodder.
2. Every entry will be gone over with a style book and a dictionary until I am confident I do not need to do this anymore. Pages with mistakes will be torn out and rewritten.
2a. Mistakes that are not torn out and rewritten when they are discovered to be mistakes will be rewritten five times for each day I let it go uncorrected.
3. If I want to write about Intrigue I need to use codes and abbreviations.
4. I can write about whatever the hell I want as long as I follow the above rules.

I hope I can keep myself to these resolutions. If not I know where to go to correct my lack of discipline.

Speaking of discipline, I was one of the very first Sin'dorei to seek training in Eversong in January. The very night the training began I was there. But I am still not powerful enough for Outland. If I am not adventuring in Outland by the end of the month there will be consequences.

My goal to reach Outland by the end of this month looks less likely at the rate I am going. I will try not to be so distracted. If I do not make my goal the plan is to give away a lot of gold to complete strangers. It is not a punishment if I give it to friends. I am budgeting my spending accordingly, but I found a very nice green mask for one gold and fifty silver which I had to buy. The added power it gives to my mana pool and my general health are worth the paltry loss. It was a really good deal. I just wish it was not so green. I am starting to look like Visant.

I did not reach Outland by the end of June so I gave away fifteen gold to a weak and guildless troll. I am going to do this each week until I have stepped through that portal through my own strength. Visant has given me many items to encourage me. I hope I can use them soon. He can be scary sometimes, such as last week when he dealt with my misbehavior, but is usually very generous and kind.

Today I am going with Dixielee, Amalee, and Ofanim to Zul'Farrak. I hope this helps me reach my goal.
