Outland Lore Question (Spoilers)

Alright, so, I know there are a lot of enemy factions in Outland. Illidan, along with Lady Vashj's Naga, Prince Kael'thas's Blood Elves, and Akama's Broken are opposed to the Burning Legion, who also have a very heavy presence there. Now, I knew that Fel Orcs would be in Outland, but I didn't expect them to be working on Illidan's side of the field, seeing as in WCIII, to gain Akama's aid he destroyed a large encampment of them. But then, since he IS ruler of Outland, it makes sense that he could force his lordship over them and all that, and create more of them with the blood of Magtheridon, who he has chained up in the lower section of Hellfire Citadel. So that covers where the Fel Orcs belong.

But what is up with the demons working with the Fel Orcs? Are they working freely for Illidan, betraying the Legion? Or are they being controlled, much like a warlock controls his pets? It didn't phase me at first, when I was going through Ramparts the first time, I just figured the Fel Orcs were with demons because they served the Legion. After getting the letter from the orc half of the last boss, signed by Illidan, I became confused. Anyone have any insight on this debacle?

I assume that the demons are being controlled, since I doubt the Legion would let Illidan fuck them around. To them, he's a snooty little pissant who has a little more power than they'd like. The demons of the Legion are great opportunists, and I considerably doubt that Omor sees any kind of opportunity in working with Illidan and the "Fel Horde" against the Legion.

Demons are most probably getting controlled, it's hard, if not impossible to believe that a frontline grunt would have any reason to defect from the most powerful army in the known universe.

The Fel Orcs are on Illidan's side. My suggestion would be to run Blood Furnace some time, not going to give spoilers, but everything will click once you run it.

This is a place for spoilers XD I know that Magtheridon is trapped, and the reason the Fel Orcs are being....produced, you might say, but that's one big demon who is trapped by immense magic. Demons like Omor, and the Illidari Taskmasters to the west, seem to serve Illidan more freely, which I find akward.

Illidan is a demon hunter, and their tactic is to use the Burning Legion's own power against them. Simple enough.
