For those of you that have not noticed, there are a few paladins (( and yes we let in one warrior and one priest )) running around with the guild name "Order of the Silver Hand". The head of the guild is Pothos Dur'Kahn, Knight Commander of the Realm. Pothos served in the original Order. The first officer of the Order is myself, Vendella Fordring, daughter of Tirion Fordring, who was also one a member of the original Order. We welcome Paladins of good standing into our ranks, and we expect our members to act as Paladins, no unrighteous behavior will be tolerated.

Hrm... as this is a recruitment message, shouldn't this be in WoW discussions, or possibly Nether Legends?

Wait, daughter of Tirion? How does that work when he only has a son?

Could be a sentimental thing.

Like she may not be the blood doughter of Tirion but she may be someone who Tirion cared enough about to call her doughter.

Like when you call a close family friend of your parents "uncle" or "untie" although they have no relation to you.

Not intebded as a recruitment message, sorry if it came across that way. And yes, she was born to the Fordrings, just never mentioned in lore. :D

Well she could be an illegitimate child of Tirion. There is nothing in the lore which would conflict with that notion since we dont know much about his private life before the "Warcraft: Of Blood and Honor" novel.

So there is some room to maneuver this in the lore if Vandella wishes her background to fit in with it.

She could be the love child from some affair that Tirion had, a child which he does not know about or only found out recently.

He only found out about her recently, that is true. I appreciate your guys' help in establishing her backstory.

If she wants to RP it, I see no issues at all. Lore is just a guidline to work with and base stories off of, it's not like... the Lore Nazis are going to come and kill you if you do something that isn't explicitly stated.

Except maybe Manus, but he's not really menacing at all.

Until I give him some lines of german to shout while he comes for you...

Some times it's not a problem, but there's no way I can approve of someone saying "Hey! I'm the son of Thrall and Jaina! And Kel'Thuzad's my cousin!" And this isn't too far off.

A better match would be Thrall and Sylvanas then I could see the Kel'Thuzad connection...........:p

This doesn't bother me at all. I've RP with Vendella, and it isn't really that big of a deal. My priest character is the adopted daughter of Farmer Saldean from Westfall....And he's still running around kicking booty...But to me, this thing with Vendella is about the same. She's having fun...and nothing really horrible has come from it.

Now if she spouted wings and began screaming that Onyxia were her mom...then I'd have some trouble. hehe

I'm just saying, it's a borderline thing for me.
