Theres a lot of history of these guys, but the trail runs cold in Tanaris. Theres another Uldaman type place...followed by a guy saying that behind those doors experiments were made (if i remember the quest properly) to start all life. Anyone know further details, spoilers and whatnot? It was my favorite questline/lore since i started the game...and now with this expansion coming up, im seriously disappointed that its kinda been ignored...

It pretty much just ends there, with being told if you find the other part of the key they'll let you in.
But yeah, supposedly Uldum is like the Makers' HQ, whereas Uldaman was like a smaller one for the earthen experiements.

The Makers? Just call them the Titans.
Uldum is supposedly the control center for the operations in Un'Goro. It maintains the enviroment in the midst of desert, as well as the status of the creatures and the crystals throughout the crater. It's also rumored to be the origin of the Tauren.

Blizzard made comment on this chain (as well as the Grimtotem) during BLIZZCON.
The comment was an evasion one. They know about it... they want to do stuff with it... but right now they have higher priorities. I am sure it is one of those things that have been put on the backburner with a bunch of other stuff.
Things inside there wouldn't really be *new.* So, it would only interest some of the more hardcore folk out there (like folks who would be reading this.)
Someday? Probably. Tomorrow? No. Next year? Eh... everytime a paladin bubbles, the date gets set back an hour.

I wouldn't be surprised if the end of that questline got added in a Northrend expansion, as there's a third "Titan HQ" on the northern continent.

From what I understand after Burning Crusade their going to start on the Emerald dream, and then Northrend... then... possibly this.

In any case, the *moment* Uldum gets cracked open, you bet your sweet asses Lelenia will be standing there with whatever the hell is the other half of the key...probably a bucket of dirt from Outland that's been dipped in a Moonwell and sent through Onyxia's digestive tract, but I WILL HAVE IT!

Here is my two cents on the subject. From what I have read, there are three titan bases. Ungoro was their landing site on the planet. Uldaman was the first base, Uldum the second base, and they also have a third base on the continent of Northrend where they created a tribe of giants as protectors, which only 150 or so remain. They also have crystal golems there they created to help with the work of the giants. This third base is named Ulduar. Eventually blizzard plans to make the Storm Giants and Crystalline golems part of the Northrend expansion along with a possibly instanced Ulduar and a continuance of the lore you desire.

Despair not Sanrin, I looked up where I read about the Northrend stuff and it gives you a little more insight into the lore you are wanting to know about. Hopefully this helps sate your hunger..........(Copy this into your browser. These two links tell more about the titans and northrend.)
