History:
Turen enlisted in the Ironforge Regiment when his brother died in its service. He distinguished himself as a good soldier early, and had a promising career. One day his friend, Kelleta, died at sea and he drank heavily, even for a dwarf. In a drunken rage he murdered Stoery, and elf in the Valley of Heroes, Stormwind. He feld to Booty Bay, but had to evade bounty hunters and went to Desolace, in self imposed exile. Even in Desolace he was found, but fortunetly was rescued by his best friend, Borgas Thunderfist. When he was well, Turen marched to King Magni and asked forgiveness. It was reluctantly given. Turen next sought the forgiveness of the Rook, the organization from which Stoery killed. This was also granted.
After a short time Turen, at the tender age of season 37, was proted to the rank of Captain. He named his new company the Ironfists. He devoted himself entirely to his new command and to the Regiment, and began leading them in battle. He led a raid brutal on Freewind Post, leaving no survivors, something whih would lead some Horde to capture him later. After a failed raid on Splintertree Post, Turen was captured, his body all bud ahnialated,, and his soul was used as a spy.
Fortunetly he was able to get a message to a Mervenary, who tipped off the Ironforge Regiment. They scheduled a massive asault to reclaim their former Captain. The Horde sent many to defend the operation, which was based in Silverpine. The clash of battle was fierce, and in the end Turen returned, albiet the ressurection process was somewhat botched. Because the Horde had held onto his body so long, they had managed to tain Turens soul. He seemed fine when he returned and led an attack on the Undercity, in which he personally dispatched many of the Royal Apothacery Society. Over time, however, his temper grew worse and his actions irrational. His anger became focused on a soldeir named Axt, and on a chance meeting in Menethil, made an attack upon him. Eldridgen, Axt's leiutenent, defended him and was nearly killed in Turens rage. Then he fought Thurgo, Axt's Captain, whom he managed ro knock out. Axt was nowhere to be seen after the fighting, and Turen fled once again into exile. He was captured and questioned, to which Turen was unresponsive. He managed to escape then Axt came to gloat over Turens capture. Axt was beaten unconcious but alive as Turen fled the guards. He abandoned his post in the Regiment, after much heartache, to the protection of the Rooks. Later, at the Ironforge Regiment Summer Ball he announce he was retiring the road of adventure. He was thrown a party in the old Sable Plume and has not been seen in a long time.
Recently a larger than life dwarf who looks very similar to Turen has been spotted around Dun Morogh and the Draenei lands, wielding a hammer with the power of the Light. No contact has been made with the dwarf yet...although the few Goblins of the area are certainly interested in selling this scrap of information to the Horde.
Turen recently re-applied to the Ironforge Regiment, due to an attack on his home months ago by Sin'Dorei and extreme boredom. His wife has no knowledge of it, however. Turen desperately hopes the Regiment takes him back in, and has been seen honing his skills with axe and light around the Eastern Kingdoms.
