does anybody know where you can find information about the gnomes in Warcraft.

Not really sure, but from what I understand they don't have alot of history. I allways figured they just nuked themselves in an attempt to rid their city of the Trogg infestation, hence the irridated Gnomes inside Gnomeragan.

But of course, I'm no lore mod, and I'm likely wrong.

Gnomes are most likely an evolved derivative of dwarves.

Alliance Players Guide RPG Sourcebook for the WoW RPG had some information on gnomes. I don't have my copy of it though, but I can tell you all of what I remember.
