(Naxxramus repair costs and potion stocking have sucked out what little cash reserves I've had :P)

I haven't seen Mortica's talents. Put something up... and in-game or out of game gold... though I prefer actual cash.

he either did white on black paper(chalk) or black on white paper (coal)

looking at some i can tell he used Coal on white paper.

Wow...he is good with pastels of any kid.

I could never work the chalks like he can, only think im good at his pointilism.

you can make an art piece and scan it into a pc and render it like those pics.

I used to do it all the time.



its easy to tell because of the shading on the art shows that he rendered and smoothed out the art pieces using a photoshop software.


EDIT- 200g+ for a drawing?! :(

he uses pro paintshop...

i wonder if he makes a scetch then edits it on the computer.....im thinking he's a graphics designer or something of that sort and its done 100% digitally :?

Nah, dude. Fine artists have been using digital painting for a while. Tons of WoW concept art is 100% digital. The X-Men drawing I did was 100% digital. It's the magic of the tablet.

yeah..it's definitely digital. His art reminds me alot of Rebecca Kimmel's. You can see some of her quick sketches in this thread: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=295498&page=1&pp=15 (look for posts by RebeccaK.. she's got an easily recognizable style).

She use to have a tutorial on the shading technique that she uses, but there are so many tutorials by her that I wasn't able to find the one I wanted.

i used to work across the street from volition (the people who made summoner, red faction, saint's row, etc...) and one of the artists there was dating this red head broad (brig you remeber the red head she hung out with us once). anyway, the dude used to make her all kinds of 100% digital drawings to impress her or something, i don't know. either way, they were really amazing. the stuff that people do with a tablet these days are just completely awesome!

speaking of volition, how many of you have seen the summoner geek video? oh how i love it so! such a timeless classic...

I always make a post then review it after it was posted(like an idiot) and see that i missed something >.<

i edited it and said "well there are those tablets used by artists on computers..."
