As Recounted by Lysimachus dej Dynastus, a Fable:

One fateful evening, I and my sister found ourselves delving into the heart of a great and ancient Earthen fortress. We were not adventuring of course, but were, rather, seeing to our personal collection of arcane relics and artifacts.

In some unknown manner of time, after our senses had grown dimmed by the murky gloom of the underground labyrinth, we happened over a well-hidden floor trap, dropping us down a deep, twisting tunnel. Eventually regaining our senses, we found ourselves in a vast library, the likes of which we had never seen before!

"Look, sister! Imagine!" Rushing over to the nearest shelf, I removed a tome -- a rash act -- triggering a collapse of the entire room.

In the end, we found ourselves once again outside of the complex, with nothing to show for it but the single tome. Entitled "de Khats Sabobah," it was scribed in an ancient variety of Dwarvish, the content of which was, while reproducible, entirely indecipherable.

Such woe that we had not the tools to properly comprehend this last remaining product of the wisdom of the Titans! It was then that we came to a hard but certain conclusion. We, along with those who would join us, would dedicate ourselves to the collection, reclamation and preservation of knowledge in all of its forms, that such a crisis of understanding would never be repeated.

Thus, de Khats Sabobah, in remembrance of this portion of forever-lost lore, was born.

Knowledge is, after all, Empowering. (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?p=357987#post357987)

OOC Information: de Khats Sabobah is a Horde-side RP-PvP guild, with plans for casual raiding an eventuality. We will engage in weekly RP/RP-PvP events (usually Sundays), so far as time permits.

Separate PvP and PvE officers will offer battlegrounds/raiding as their schedules permit (to be decided).

The focus of the guild is on "Lorehunting;" i.e., the collection and preservation of knowledge. This translates in game mechanics to such activities as attacking alliance settlements to reclaim "stolen" relics or information, defending Horde libraries and other areas of intellectual interest (WorldDefense), Old World Raiding, New World Raiding, and various other enterprises.

Ultimately, any character with an interest in learning, be it magic, subterfuge, warfare, botany, or any other field, as well as those interested purely in the profit of treasure (a necessary and agreeable side-effect of 'relic' and 'treasure hunting') or a persuasion toward mercenary work can find their way into de Khats Sabobah.

Rules:

1. There is no level requirement; however, some activities may prevent low-levels from participating directly. There will of course always be guild chat and in-city RP :)

2. Guild Chat is in character (by way of an Arcane frequency out of House dej Dynastus). We have an OOC channel in /HellingOOC.

3. No Hellery* Allowed

Presently, an application process is in the works. Until then, contact Lysimachus [or his alts Dobrinion/Antiquitar] or Sabeinne [or her alt Khristien] in game to discuss admittance (it's not going to be difficult ;)).

*Hellery as defined by Lysimachus and Sabeinne dej Dynastus, Professional Hellers

Though we lost the battle (and our prisoner), Sunday's event was a lot of fun! Special thanks to Niktika for allowing us to torment her and give her a terrible haircut. The events that transpired are detailed below:

The Trying of Niktika Ceruleano! (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=20022)

Be sure to join us for our next event, in which we will delve into the barbaric depths of Zul'Aman, searching for an ancient tablet:
