Horadrim as a guild, is evolving. As the leader, I notice each and every change, from DPS numbers, to gear, to the mood of the raid itself. And whether the changes be big, or whether they be small, they change the way Horadrim ‘works’.

When I first took over the guild, it was difficult. At that point, I was used to pushing for the high end content with either PuG’s, or a group of friends, who was interested in going pretty far also. We were all geared, and we all knew most of the content . When Horadrim re-started, it was like starting over as a new eighty with most of them as well. [Them, being the new members] Most of the people who saw my guild advert in trade and either spoke to me, or applied were newer to eighty, or had just hit eighty. Some didn’t know their class too well—I noticed right off the back that I was going to have problems. And the road only got harder. We hit the obvious roadblocks right away;

i. More than 2 tanks in-slot
ii. Not enough healers in-slot
iii. Everyone needed the gear
iv. DPS issues
v. Some wouldn’t off-spec
vi. Loot issues
vii. Guild bank issues
viii. Communication issues

[And I admit one of the loot issues was one of my faults, and later apologized to the person for it. All good times. . sigh.]

And the list went on. I don’t understand honestly sometimes, how some of the other guild leaders did it. I mean.. Horadrim is fifteen people right now. I have to start looking for more healers. Maybe another DPS or two. But even fifteen people can sometimes be a lot to manage a lot of the time—at least, in my opinion.

But since all those issues have occurred, somehow, we’ve worked through them. Not all of them, but.. most of them. Which is the beneficial thing out of all of this. 2 of my tanks went and found themselves a fun off-spec; one had even told me he/she wouldn’t DPS, which is the funnier thing! Now he/she does! And enjoys it. Of course, we still need healers. One of our healers is a good friend of a couple members, so they’re guaranteed a slot [at least, until we get more than enough healers], and frankly, the progress that the one person has made as well, is astounding. I was a little hesitant at first to bring them along but.. wow.

If you looked up Horadrim now on the armoury, you’d see that most of the members are now wearing their full T9+, with some of the 226 pieces still on. Some are even sporting their T10, and other misc drops in ICC. When I got all of our regulars in Horadrim, I looked at the armoury, and my first words I think were, “Oh gods.”. Almost everyone was in 80 blues.

Needless to say, I’m still doing the ‘…wow’ bit. At what the guys have done to get ready. The DPS issues were partly based off gear. But I’ll give a clouded example.

About.. 3(?) weeks ago, we were in ICC. First wing. Breezed through Marrowgar, and Deathwhisper. Everyone’s mood was up—you know. It’s their first time in ICC, and they’ve just through the first couple bosses on their own. Wouldn’t you be in a good mood too? We got to the Gunship and started running into problems. After a couple hiccups and wipes, we got it done, but after that, the mood had kind of deflated a bit—not enough to completely destroy the raid, but you know the feeling. So we get to Saurfang, and everything falls to bits. To this day, the only logical conclusion I can think of, is DPS numbers, combined with the deflation of mood. I took a look a the DPS numbers after the raid, and after talking it through with the other officers and decided that the numbers were indeed low [2K-3K ish]. Last week, in ICC, we blew through Saurfang, and got Rotface down to 4 mil a lot of the time. Like, first time hitting Rotface. The week before we’d decided to try Princes after we downed Saurfang, and lasted about a minute. I took a look at the numbers afterwards, DPS wise. Everyone above 4k.

I’m not going to say I wasn’t proud.

And then you got the few people, who could potentially offspec into a healer, or another DPS, and said they wouldn’t. Oh well. I was shocked, when I had a tank bow out to DPS. Shocked even more when he/she preferred it to tanking.

Loot issues and guild bank issues almost tie together. I admit that for awhile, sheer nervousness kept me from giving all members access. If they wanted anything from the bank, they had to ask me for exactly what they wanted. After about a month, I relented and gave everyone a two stack withdraw. Since then.. there’s been small things here and there, but I rule with the iron fist. If I don’t think it’s right, I ask another officer to take a look, or at least give things a check myself. Keeps me happy.

The last, and one of the problems we’re still working on is communication- I’d have to say. We’re still learning how to work with another. Communication, however awesome it’s gotten, is still being debated every time we raid. I mean, do we raid laid back, professionally, etc. It all ties into the mood. However, the last couple times, the other officers of Horadrim have made me regret promoting them—the JERKS! [ JK! ]

But in essence, Horadrim is getting better. There are still moments where I ask myself what am I doing, or what do I want to do, and I honestly can’t answer the question. We’re evolving as a guild, and as raiders. The people I started with, they’ve come so far, and I’m happy because of it. I don’t know whether it’s because they’ve had that laid back feel and they’ve been told when they mess up, ‘its okay, don’t worry, we’ll go again next week’ [Except me. I get told ‘BAD MAGE!’] or whether they’ve just figured things out for themselves, but damn. Our team is getting better!

Recruiting

As of now, Horadrim is semi-reopen to tanks. A few of our tanks have gone either AFK, or dual-spec’d, so we’re willing to reopen the slots to tanks, as long as you have dual-spec, and are willing to gear that off-spec.

DPS wise, we’re still open to anything, and if you’re ranged, we have a lack of ranged right now. The only real active ranged are myself [Felynn], a boomkin, and an MMS hunter [Wyrdassil]. Most other slots are open to other classes- there are no warlocks, shadow priests, arcane mages, or elemental shamans in-slot! We could use you!

In Horadrim itself, we have one healer. A holy paladin. Our other healers are out of guild, and filling our slots for us, until we recruit healers! Resto druids, holy priests, etc! We need you!

[U]Raiding times;

ICC10 – Sunday night [Usually]; 7-7:30 start time. We go until members want to stop.
ICC25 – Will be restarted soon! Trial and error run in a week!
Other raids – Planned. If you want an invite, ask any of the members if we are doing ‘____’ raid this week.

Horadrim is Recruiting!

**Please remember that Horadrim is small. We're just beginning, but already we have a tight knit, however relaxed and open crew of raiders, pvp'ers, and generally awesome folk hanging around with us.

It is a goal of ours to not just raid, but to enjoy it. Not to just progress, but to progress as a guild. If you're not eighty yet, don't worry! We'll help you get there! We all levelled to eighty and geared at some point, its something we can help you with!

Our Current Needs;

Melee DPS for us right now is lacking! We currently have on crew a rogue, a DPS warrior, and a handful of Death knights! Any and all would be appreciated at this time.

Ranged DPS within Horadrim is doing a little better. We have two* active mages, two active hunters, and an elemental shaman, currently. No shadow priests OR warlocks of yet! Come on either or!

Healers! We NEED you! Within our roster right now, we have an Off-spec Resto shaman, an amazing Holy Pally and a near-to-eighty Holy priest! A few more active healers, druid or otherwise would be absolutely brilliant!

Tanks! Our current tanking duo is Bolgrin, and Bolgan; our duo-Prot warrior team. Calling almost all Prot paladins, druids, or Death Knight tanks! We have no one to pick up the tanking gear! It's getting DE'd! Come grab your gear!

Raiding Times:
Our raiding times are generally as follows;

ICC10 Team - Sunday at 6:30 cont. Monday at 6:30 [ST]
ICC25 Team - Wednesday at 6:30 [ST]

**Other raids can be scheduled based on interest within the guild. We will be attempting other raids such as Naxxramas, Uldaur, and Trial of the Champion for older achievements, gearing of newer people, and general amusement.

If you have an interest in joining, Felynn can be contacted in a number of places; In-game on Felynn or Cytiana, or you may apply at Horadrim's Home Page (http://horadrimtn.guildomatic.com/).

Our team of Horadrim-ites who made it this evening; Myself, Our duo prot warrior team Bolgan and Bolgrin, as well as our up and coming big healer Androessan!

Horadrim had it's first coordinated "Guild run" tonight in a long while, and for our return to the raiding spotlight, we decided that Ulduar was going to be our awesome choice for the evening.

We ended up accidently resetting Flame Leviathan, burning through Razorscale, wiping on Ignis a couple times [honestly, who doesn't], and one-shotting that pain in the butt, XT, with tanks who had little to no raiding experience. Major morale booster for Horadrim!

At the time the raid started, we had a record six people on, with 4 people definitely in attendance. One unfortunately had to go, and the other had another raid already planned. However, for Horadrim, that's pretty good! We managed to supply our own tanks, and a fairly new to the scene pally healer who did amazingly well, considering! We actually ended an hour earlier than I expected to, which wasn't half bad at all, for our first raid together!

From other guilds came Niktika [A.S.S], Hitomi, Harmony, and Tordec [The Dusk Watch], Silliboy [The Eighty Eights], and Verelius [HRA]. Big thanks to all who came- we ARE continuing this, to see how far we get as a guild!

And because the guys left immediately after the XT loot was done, and I was smart enough not to say anything, this is the only Horadrim picture from the raid.

[Death to XT!!]

Want to raid with Horadrim? We're currently looking for more to fill our ranks! Any class is welcome [save prot warriors! [JK, but we do have 2]], as well as any role! Send Felynn or Cytiana an in-game tell, or register at our website; horadrimTN.guildomatic.com!

Horadrim – Week Two of Raiding!

We “planned” two goals for this last week. Being that our member base is still gearing themselves [most are getting on T9+-- Good job!], we decided to do a bit of a smaller raid than Ulduar this week. That being said, we’ll probably step back sometime in the near future, based on guildies asking to go back!

Huzzah for interest!

In the long run, our raids this week, of choice, were Trial of the Crusader 10, and our planned Icecrown Citadel 10!

From our Trial of the Crusader 10~

Our roster here was a grand total of.. 8 Horadrim members in raid, as well as Kierei [Who’s slowly becoming a regular with us], and Emyi! And for a guild whose member base is just beginning to raid, and who’s just getting past the T9 marker, we did amazingly well!

[Not gonna link them all, but!]

http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n469/ravynsfaery/ToC-Horadrim.jpg

On Beasts, we had two silly wipes to worms. But hey! Who hasn’t wiped to worms!

http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n469/ravynsfaery/Toc-2-Horadrim.jpg

Hey Jaraxxus ! One wipe here, again, silly stuff. But it’s a teaching experience, and a learning for both myself, and the guildies!

http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n469/ravynsfaery/ToC-3-Horadrim.jpg

First image, because it’s amaaaazingly well shot. Needed the lulz. One wipe here as well.

http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n469/ravynsfaery/ToC-End-Horadrim.jpg

And Anub! But hey! We, as a guild, one-shotted! Huzzah!

And onto our Icecrown Citadel 10 man~

Actually, our first as a guild, since we fractured. And we had a huge member pool of Horadrim-ites in ICC tonight! At least 7/10 members were from Horadrim, one member being on an alt when he came in. Good times! We’re filling our ten mans at long last!

And, screenies inc!

Big props to Niktika, Holypower [who mysteriously vanished after marrowgar. . .], Kierei, and later Ajaxs who joined us!

http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n469/ravynsfaery/Horadrim-ICC.jpg

The after Marrowgar – ONE shotted!

Forgot to take a screenie after Deathwhisper, but that too was a one shot!

On the Gunship with the gang~

Look for us, at Our Homepage! (http://horadrim.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=362526&TabID=3036310)

Horadrim is Still Recruiting!

Just an update from Horadrim: We are still recruiting! However, some classes/roles will not be accepted for a short period of time, based on the amount we now have!

Role Wise:

Tanks
We are currently closed to all tanks. We have 5 tanks on roster- 4 of which are now geared for ICC. If you are a tank, and want to apply to Horadrim, you will be asked instead to DPS or Heal off-spec.

DPS
We NEED more ranged! Currently, we have an active Hunter, Mage, and Boomkin! We need at least a few more ranged to fill the slots we can’t fill! We aren't limiting to classes, so even if you're one of the three above, feel free to apply!

Healers
We need you also! Our healers consist of a Holy pally, a resto druid and a still-gearing priest! Our ICC slots are being filled by out-of-guild friends!

Class Wise ;

We could still utilize many classes who for all purposes, want to apply! Enhance shamans, Elemental shamans – We have none! No shadow priests, warlocks, arcane mages, rogues, or discipline priests are slotted [regularly, and in Horadrim] currently!

Raiding Times ;

Our raiding times remain on the weekends from about 6:30/7 - 10. We will usually never start later than 8, and never go past 10, however with fluctuating schedules of raid leaders, the days of ICC raids will fluctuate between Friday and Monday. However, it will always normally be a weekend night, and you will always have at least 3 days notice as to what day, and when the raid will be.

Our 25 man raid is currently suspended until we get more Horadrim members to fill the slots. In about a week and a half, to two weeks, we will reopen the 25 man raid after discussing as a guild.

Thanks!

Felynn.

----

Looking for a laid back raiding guild? Not geared enough to make the cut of hardcore raiding guilds? Got a fluctuating schedule that keeps you from making raid times?

Look no further! Horadrim is the place for you!

Apply now at Horadrim's Home (http://horadrim.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=362526&TabID=3036310).

If you have any questions, PM Felynn [Cytiana] or Wyrdassil [Oculos] in-game!
