Raiding for content-noobs?

I've played a lot of WoW (several toons in the low 70's), but having a sort of erratic (and limited) play schedule, as well as having come to the game after WotLK came out, I have never really played through much of the raid content. Seeing that there is no raid utility similar to the dungeon finder tool, does anyone have any advice for finding groups for the old raid content? I'm thinking pre-BC raid content here, though I'd like to run through all of the newer ones too, eventually. It has nothing to with wanting all the coolest loot; its really just that I like to see the raid encounters, lore, etc.

I know I could join a raiding guild, but it seems like most of them are well past the old raids. Moreover, a guild like Legends wouldn't suit me because I have never wanted to lock any of my characters' experience.

Maybe 40 or so people out there want to start a new raiding guild to progress through ALL the raids? Ha...right...

People pug this stuff pretty regularly. You could even start one yourself.

Depends on the day, but I generally run till around 1 AM ST.

Step 1: Roll a paladin (or a deathknight)
Step 2: Level to 80
Step 3: Solo/2man MC/ZA/AQ10 (get a healer friend to heal you through rag).
Step 4: 5man BWL
Step 5: 10m AQ40

Win.

rinse and repeat with bc raids!

10man ssc/tk/mag
15man bt/hyjal
25 man sunwell (that shits still hard)

I solo MC trash on my warrior. But bosses I have 0 chance. Even in ZG. T.T

I take that back. I've soloed the fish boss in ZG.

Heid can solo most mc bosses- rag's a bit more difficult because he needs some extra heals - so we effectively two man MC at least once a week.

Yeah... you don't even need to do that anymore. You can just tank and spank away.


...technically, you probably don't really even need a true tank.

I guess that makes it a spank fight...
