'Gasa and I have left XIlI for various reasons, and are actively seeking a new guild. At this point I think we have narrowed it down to three:
one Illuminati
The Dark Arrow Legion
The Knights of Dawnsend
Anything we should know about any of these? We know people in Legion and Knights, and I have personally spoken with the GM of Illuminati (Ruder). At this point we are kind of at a coin-flip stage, so any help would be appreciated.

All of the people I've interacted with in One Illuminati I regret having interacted with.
Never heard of the Dark Arrow Legion. Neutral experiences with Knights of Dawnsend.

Sorry if I managed to miss this -
I'm not formilliar with the other two, but Knights is full of decent people, and while they're not super fantastic top of raiding, they get some stuff done and enjoy themselves, which is what you and 'gasa are about for the most part when it comes to raiding :)
Talk to them, they might be right up your ally :)

Im actually in one illuminati, sorry about your experiences Agnarr. Wonder if it was while ruder was away. Anyway, my take on it...they are VERY laid back. A few RP'rs smattered about. They are moving up to full guild 25 runs. They always seem to be running something. Although I don't really raid and don't have much guild interaction, Im not pushed aside or anything like that. There are a few who do try to keep everyone focused, and sometimes they may come off a bit...better than thou, but what guild doesn't have that guy really? They curse, drink, and smoke and have just generally have a good time.
Dark arrow legion accepted the guy who raped our GB. Yes they knew what he did, and no they did not seem to care. Just my opinion of the type of folks that mght be in there.
Thats all I have.

Thanks Lisbet.
A friend of ours (who, to be fair, is kind of brash) was sort of run out of Knights over some things he said/didn't say/was accused of saying.
Also, 'Gasa started talking to some of the officers of The Redemption. We're giving them a try for now at least.
Man, I do not want to become a guild hopper...
Edit: Thanks also Boudika. Ruder seems like a really good guy, and yes, very laid back.

I have a few friends in there now actually. Asakura/Furywhatever was a good Ordo buddy who went back to his old guild (ie Kights of Dawnsend). I haven't really heard anything PvE Progression wise at all (not necessarly negative), but the members I've run into (Swerto excluded, I mostly just see you in ravenooc, or in PvP gear), they are either A- massively stupid (but thats a dime a dozen), B- Over-eager and over-arrogant at the same time, C- Polite yet lacking in helpful aspects of a raid/dungeon enviroment, or, mostly D- Completely indifferent.
One Illuminati? Yaaaaa, nothing good from my view. No offence Boudy, but every run in I've had I've been incredibly annoyed, and their members rather rude.
Dark Arrow? Not a thing.

What exactly are you looking for? Serious raiding? RP tolerant? Left handed hookers?
My old friend Mooshine from Forgotten Legion, and Mirril as well, apparently have somewhat of a raiding guild going, and are fairly laid back, Calaveras. He's been a good bud off and on in the game, and he's good laid back people. Well, REALLY laid back. If the crowd is who i think they are, they raid for fun really, try not to take it too seriously, and are willing to cancel a raid if they start hitting a brick wall for more than an hour. Which, in casual raiding, is really a waste of time.
If you're more specific on what you're looking for, parameters and such, I'd be able to suggest more.

Yea Mirril told me he's raiding hordeside on the weekends, which is nice, because he's a good dude.
Maybe have a chat with him and see whats up with that :)

Thanks Jeed. We've seen Calaveras around a lot lately. We'll look them up if <The Redemption> doesn't work out. Although things are fine so far.

The only thing I know about Dark Arrow Legion is that I've still been unsuccessful in getting their guild leader's gawddamn name changed for the copyright violation clause after at least three years of trying. I'm not absolutely certain, but I think I did manage to force their guild name to change from Many Arrows. No idea why they'd force the one and not the other.

Yeeeeeeeeup. Don't know if he still has it, but the jackass was running with a RP addon description that was pretty much word for word the copyrighted character.

Do you own the rights or work for the company that does? If so send a cease and assist order to blizzard since they own the character providing screen shots of the RP description etc.
If not, live and let live, (edit for manners)
You could both join <Hates You>! We're always looking for new members.
<Hates You> is an up and coming guild bank guild.
We'll see Arthas before anyone at level 100.

I do, in fact, work for said company. Nice try with the smartassery.
Regardless of that fact, I have just as much a right to report him for violating the naming rules as I would for reporting Lolijustpwnedu or Sirtokesalot. My control over the copyright has nothing to do with it.

Actually, I believe the change from Many Arrows to Dark Arrow Legion didn't have squat to do with a GM ticket. Which, really, Just Got Honor has been around forever, along with others. I don't think guild names being RP are exactly their main concern on an Rp-PvP server.
But ya ya, arguement for another page. Stay on topic, hmm?

Then, file the proper paperwork for a cease and assist. Im not being a smart-ass, if you are bothered by a copyright infringement, follow the proper lines of getting it resolved. It's obvious blizzard hasn't heard of the character and doesn't believe someone reporting ti as such, it looks "rpey"
If you need help I've done it quite a few times in my business.

That's because I run around in PvP gear, but all the PvE gear I have (excluding the badge pieces) are from raiding with them.
The guild has it's shortcomings (a lot of people have quit recently, and progression is not an option at this point, just trying to keep the guild alive), but it's a wonderful mostly drama free environment that I enjoy.
When drama has happened it usually ends up with someone quitting and the drama abruptly ending, though I did get /spit on yesterday by some random person who quickly yelled 'KOD SUCKS'.

Cease and desist. I was going to leave it alone the first time but you did it twice!
Though now being aware of the the name issues it'd take such a guild off the table for me personally.

I blame lack of sleep and medications. I'm laughing at myself as I literally filed this form with our law office last week..

There's a difference between informed opinions concerning raiding guilds and the shitstorm of "you suck because" that this degenerated into.
As Jim Rome would say, "(insert noun here) sucks" is not a take.

Who said a thing about anyone sucking? I must have missed it. People gave you valid opinions and a short conversation about someones opinion happened.

I never had a problem with to too and two, they were too obvious for me. Sometimes when I type too fast and don't think I use the wrong there/their/they're, but it's a rarity.
My biggest mistake is typing too fast and misspelling a word.

I'm surprised that as a writer you don't know the proper procedure for putting in a cease and desist order.
Also... you should be aware that Blizzard has no control over things like RP mods. The GMs can't even see them unless they have the mods, and I don't think any of them bother using them since their job is to not RP so much as it is to answer tickets. Whether or not that's in an RP fashion is up to them.
And also... you're kind of assuming that GMs have more power over legal matters of the game than they do. They are actually nothing more than in-game versions of call center reps who do what they can or who follow instructions of a supervisor. If something is blatantly against the TOS, then they can do something. If it's not absolutely clear or they can't see what it is that's being infringed on, then chances are they can't do anything. Sending in tickets bitching at them about it is about as productive as calling up an insurance company call rep and bitching at them for your rates going up because you have a ticket on your record. They can't do anything about it because THAT is company policy. Take your complaints to the people who can do something about it and don't assume the low level $14/hr rep can.
