The Excavators are a new organization forming as a result of the recent changes to experience gain introduced in 3.2. The Excavators are looking for players willing to cap a character at level 60 to complete dungeons and raids without direct assistance from higher level characters.
Because of the difficulty in assembling 40 people to complete some of these raids, level 80 item enhancements and enchantments will be permitted and encouraged. We would however like to restrict the items used to all BoE items and only those BoP items that were available pre-Burning Crusade. This coupled with the vast power increases from the higher tiers of talents that were not in World of Warcraft Classic allows healers, tanks and dps to attain throughput, regeneration and durability to complete level 60 raids with less than 20 people. Those who do not have level 80 mains on TN will be given assistance with item enchantments.
The Excavators are sponsored by the Blades of Lordaeron and we will be using their guild to host the alts at a special rank for ease of organization and in-game calendar usage. A warning in advance that guild chat sometimes contains mature subject matter and vulgar language.
Owing to the recent change to Onyxia, we will be power running characters through that encounter to get their tier 2 helms before the items are removed from the game.
As part of the organization we would like to complete all the quests associated with the dungeons and raids, and eventually complete the 'Only one may Rise' questline for as many players as possible(assuming they move one of the associated quest items from onyxia to another location). Ideally anyone interested should be a role-player, as we would like to conduct all /s and /y communication in character. Although those respectful of RP who simply want to experience the old content are very welcome.
Anyone interested should contact myself, either through the TNG or in-game by sending mail(or a whisper!) to either Brade or Zulfeo.
To stop your experience gain at level 60 please see Slahtz in Orgrimmar. He's hiding in stealth near the battlemasters in the valley of honor. (This will not disable pet experience gain for hunters.)
