So, I started my DK on DW-ing, regardless of how ridiculous that is. My spec is...37/16/18.
I think that this can actually go places. I hit...probably about 80% of the time, and I get...1k deeps. (I know, I know...thats absolute SHIT, but look at my gear. I did this spec for PvE, bytheway, not PvP)
Here's my Spec (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Spirestone&cn=Crackerjacks&gn=DeathComesQuick)
Im sure theres some working DW cookie cutter out there, but Im a rebel. Usually an impotent rebel, but a rebel nonetheless. Ive respecced over 20 times on CJ.
(Those arent my current glyphs. I just bought, but didnt have time to equip, glyph of Icy Touch and Glyph of Death Strike)

Two questions:

1) If this is a pve spec, why did you put it in the pvp section?

2) What are you trying to do with it? (Raiding, questing, solo/group, etc) Maybe I can help.

(I know, I know...thats absolute SHIT, but look at my gearEven with crappy gear, you should be able to pull more than that. Let's work on it a little. Right now you're all over the place talent-wise, with none of the "nuke" strikes from any of the trees. If you don't have Heart Strike, Frost Strike or Scourge Strike, you need to rethink things a bit.

The main advantage of DW is you're going to be firing off auto-attacks a lot. So you want abilities that are going to take advantage of that: Specials that proc off of melee strikes, and things that add to the damage of your auto-attacks.

If I were going to DW for pve right now, without looking at cookie cutters, it would probably be something like this (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#jfZG0exAbckc0V0stfM0hx:kasmVM). You won't be top dps, but you should at least be able to pull your weight.

Not to derail much, but I heard there is a new DK DW talent next patch...what will it do?

Right now, Unholy Dual Wielding is where it is at. Go down frost to snag the dual wield talent. The way it works NOW is lots of hits to proc Unholy specials.

But to be honest, I wouldnt push it too hard right now, you have 3.2 coming out which actually makes Frost DW VERY promising.

But if you want to DW before 3.2 Spec this and glyph this
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?deathknight=0000000000000000000000000000320053002 0200000000000000000230030305003205203130213133051&glyph=271708060501&version=9901

If you don't you don't get to DW.

Both weapons need Fallen Crusader.

Get hit, LOTS of hit, you need to hit SPELL hit cap(I cant remember what is was)

This spec is ran in unholy presence. It's all about firing off a ton of crap. Doesn't have to be high hitting, you are just hitting so much it racks up damage.

It's a lot of fun, and Ive thought about going back to it, but really I prefer 2h blood dps.

Frost strike is based on both weapons, not just main handed.

Hmm...
I went into blood because I know all of those specials will proc a lot with my current weapons, and with my (hopefully) future weapons. I like fast attack speed. One of my current weapons has a .99 attack speed with Icy Talons, the other has 1.27. I proc every single special (bloody vengeance all three times) in a single fight. I picked up Imp DS instead of going for something like FS SS or HS because with the glyph, I can jump that one's damage up tremendously. My basic faceroll is IT>PS>BS>BS>DS>DC Runic Power Dump.
Im mostly soloing right now, so the blood is good, but Id like to deeps it in instances. I just dont have the time to instance it right now between work and school. Mm...and I put it in the pvp section during one of my random bouts of retardation where my brain went 'HAY! THAT SAY DK ON IT! PUT POST THARE!.'
I'm still working on it, and I'll try your guys' spec next time I log. I cant save long enough to buy a flyer, so all of my money is wasted on reglyspeccing.

Yeah, you can bump up DS, but it still isn't going to hit as hard as two HS's which is a 1-rune attack so you can hit with it way more often.

That said, the blood tree really doesn't have a lot of synergy with DW. If you really like blood, I'd suggest sticking with a 2-hander.

Mm...it bumps up physical damage nice and pretty.
I'm considering going more into Unholy, but the expertise that you get early on in blood is nice to have for dual wielding.
I dont like one spec more than the other (ok, I lie, I like frost the most, blood and unholy place last) but I just want something that functions nicely.

Hmm...I have an idea of what I need (prominently) for dual wielding, but I'm not certain. What do you think is the best things to pick up out of talents for DW?

What I posted, and the spec I posted really is one of two DW specs that work. You are gimping yourself if you do anything else. Right now, the ONLY way Dual wield is competitive is via LOTS OF FAST specials, which are ALL in unholy. Weapon damage and increasing it via blood talents are essentially useless. You aren't doing physical damage, you are doing spell damage.
