The room is quiet, and there is no reason to believe that the books and tables that sit lifelessly about in quiet contentment have any extraordinary purpose. The crypts below them, release an unearthly silence- a stillness that shakes the senses and awakens the mind. The Cathedral of Light stands above them in solemn purpose as altar boys scurry back and forth, and a man of the church greets those who enter by their vocation and not their name. This is a place of contrast, where the the echoing noises of eternity carry down from the church walls and struggle desperately against the invasive silence of the dead. All of this takes place in a room that has become the fitting home to a renewed order of old. The Verdant Monastery, with their brothers and sisters clad in the green habit, has come to call this place their base resurrected- despite the thick tension that exists between themselves and their once allied Scarlet brethren from across the Cathedral.
"Sanctity and Sacrifice!" they cry as they close their eyes in reflection and place their hands on the symbolic heads of the unified snake on their tabard.
The monastic order of charity, service, peace, and life has been rebuilt. No longer will the zealots or the apathetic dictate the future of Azeroth and beyond!
The Four Precepts guiding our path to sanctity and sacrifice are as follows:
-Practice of Charity: As a good aligned monastic order, we aim to help all those in need among our allies, and give as frequently as we can afford. This extends beyond our own ranks, and also includes a general expectation of kindness and modesty. ((no required donations or anything like that))
-Proliferation of Service: All Monks are strongly encouraged to pick up a trade skill, and produce goods for one another at lower costs, if not completely free. Furthermore, a general loyalty is expected.
-Protection of Peace: We aim to defeat the invasive Horde on every front, as they disrupt the peace willfully and wrongfully. Any enemy of peace is an enemy of the Monastery. ((PvP guild beginning at 29 we will be organizing battleground groups and open RvR frequently))
-Preservation of Life: Unlike the Scarlet Monastery, that we broke from as a sister organization during the Third War, we value the sanctity of life. Ideologies of purification do not belong here.
((Newly formed RP-PVP heavy guild just now leveling up! We're in the mid 20s, generally speaking, but recruiting from 1-80. Officer positions are open, if you are looking to have a guiding hand, and we aim to be casual but well organized. No Death Knights and no one who cannot enjoy the game beyond simple success. We aim to win and be well organized within the constraints of a casual attitude of enjoying the story and one another's company. Send any of our Verdant Monks a message in game or myself here on this forum. ))
