As of today I've created a PvP-Themed Social Group (http://wow-tng.org/group.php?groupid=100). Why, you might ask? The purpose of the group is to be a private, carefully-watched group that is intended for the discussion of specific PvP happenings on TN as a server, and the ability to comment on particular peoples' inclusion in said events as long as it is done in a respectful, and friendly way. It can also be used for other PvP discussions that people may feel necessary to put there instead of our public PvP forum, for whatever reason.
Here are the guidelines for The PvP Pagoda. Crossing these lines means getting kicked out:
1.) If you're here to talk about how good you are, you can talk to your guild instead. Epeen waving will not be tolerated.
2.) Your opponent is also human and deserves respect, regardless of whether or not your video game character can beat up his. Don't be an asshole.
3.) Directly calling out one person in a PvP post is only acceptable if it's in good spirits and without hostile intent. "Hey, remember that fight?!" versus "Hey, remember when I fucked you up?!" is a big difference.
4.) This one is not a requirement as much as a guideline, but the purpose of the PvP Pagoda is primarily for discussion of specific TNG events and happenings. I encourage topics that won't involve these sorts of discussions to be made in the public of the PvP Forum, rather than in private.
That's it for now. This forum is for any PvP discussion, but more specifically an outlet for people who believe they can be mature enough to discuss that which is banned from the regular PvP Discussions Forum. If you're interested in this and wish to be a part of it, please send me a Private Message or otherwise get in touch and I'll invite you to the group.
To reemphasize: ONE strike and you're out, and there will be NO leniency towards poor sportsmanship or assholery.
