You look so lonely in that pic.

So this might sound like a dumb question to anyone who's ever done the Argent Tournament stuff, but I have not so I have no idea -

Are players able to compete against players of the opposite faction?

Irontoe

I believe so. If it is possible, I'd be happy to bring Imports along as long as we're afforded a separate seating section.

Also, you should use the Champion's ring, not the Valiant one. It has small grandstands and more room for the jousters to maneuver.

Yes you can. Some random horde requested to duel me yesterday........It's quite interesting.

Cristok

Yes while you can duel Alliance you cannot exchange gold with them. Get your own Tourney you noob Dwarves!

Irontoe
04-21-2009, 11:41 PM
Oh please. People transfer gold and goods cross-faction all the time. Nevertheless, if you insist on excluding the Alliance from your little pissing contest, we will find other ways to prove that we can piss farther than you.

Well if it isn't for Alliance too, go put it in your Horde-only section or put a [H] tag on it, asshole.

I mean obviously the Alliance are welcome to hold a Tourney and I can suggest to the crowd and the winner that they are welcome to fight the alliance winner and work out the gold on the goblin AH or whatever.

I posted this here due to the Contest and Challenges heading and have done so for ages and ages without a MoD deleting or yelling at me or telling me different.

Well that was until the "Get your own Tourney you noob Dwarves!" comment.

You want to say no Alliance, then make it clear in your original post. But posting something, having someone interested, then going, "neener neener, YOU can't have any!" is dickish. If you want to exclude people, you have a private section for only the Horde to see it, or you can take the time to mark it Horde-only, but you don't have to do the dickish thing to our face.

Like dry land, this is a myth. But you both make good points.

Fynne, I honestly expected him to refuse, and I don't blame him. Cross-faction events are difficult enough to coordinate when the two sides just zerg each other, much less walk one by one in a prescribed order to the center of an arena and spar with a specified opponent.

You people entertain me when you think I'm not looking.

You're right my bad. I didn't intend to be exclusive and I was just responding to Irontoe's usual "Hey I'm gonna attack your Tourney" with some banter.

Again, I'm DOWN for Alliance participation. I just don't know how I'm suppossed to do that alone. I would need someone to coordinate with Alliance side perhaps? Perhpas Fynne is volunteering?

I do like me some jousting...

Hrmm.

Participation to be announced.

I don't know that it's all about the gold at the end, personally.

Of course not.

It's about the Alliance pissing farther than the horde

Cristok

Yea its never about the gold. I use gold as a kind of RP prop more than anything.

Ok so yea how about the Horde and Alliance winners can fight each other but its not for gold, just honor...and pissing...

Edit: Anyone coordinating the Alliance side should let me know so I can post your name on the various advertisings I have around.

If nobody else is willing and Irontoe agree's I don't mind doing it.

Irontoe

We'll organize our own thing farther in advance. Cristok, PM me the next time you do a jousting tourney and I'll see what I can do =)

Cristok
04-22-2009, 04:12 PM
Sundays too soon? I'm sure you can just get someone /y at the Argent Grounds like I will be doing. These Tourneys are pretty freaking easy to manage. Just collect the gold, tell folks when to fight and watch for the yellow text. BAM!

ps. Fynne is a frog kisser

Fynne

You've got your fairy tales mixed up. I'm a tower rappeler, clearly.
