So, when I play (which has been more often recently) Diablo II, I play all legit, but I recently discovered that some of my old muling characters (specifically the ones holding a bunch of my higher quality runes  ) had disappeared. I decided to just use a character editor to get them back because fuck it. I'm downloading zonfire right now, which purports to be compatible with Mac and v 1.12. We'll see. anybody have any suggestions of other programs, or experience with zonfire?

No, because hacking is wrong.
Here, let me cast Heal Other on you to help you.

I've been completely resistant to getting anything even resembling this (I even felt bad about getting the mod that enabled ladder runewords on single player) because I feel the same way, but I lost like three full bank alt inventories of high-end runes and low drop rate uniques. I don't even know wtf happened to the character files. So yeah, I know it's kind of lame, but I'm past that. I just want my goddamn Ohm, Cham, and Zod runes back.

Deleted for non-use.
Most likely a 90-day limit by the server.

No, I'm talking about SP characters. There aren't any editor programs for closed B.net anyway.

then what's the point?

The point would be
to just use a character editor to get them back
thanks for your helpful and useful input, though, seaman.

But it's just single-player. That's of no real consequence, janitor.

well, to be fair, nothing in any video game is of any real consequence.
I also retired from the janitorial business, I'm unemployed.

TO BREAK FREE OF THIS ANGRY THREAD IN THE MAKING
I will attempt to help. I used to play D2 a bunch and Blizzard doesn't care for whatever things you use OUTSIDE of Closed Battle.net. They made Open Battle.net open to whatever editing desires you may have.
Now, if you tried to hack a character on Closed Battle.net, they won't hesitate using Hammer of Ban on you. ;/
IMO, go on Open Battle.net, and there should be people who know what the latest sites are for finding editing programs. Reminds me of the good old days with a open battle.net league...level 10000s fighting each other with crazy stats. Good times. XD

I would just like to add, if you want to play both realm and open/single player characters, do not use the same name. If you delete a character, any other character with that name gets deleted.
I've also heard that they don't wipe toons after non use anymore, but you may not want to rely on that hearsay.

I actually got this all taken care of, but thanks dudes.
Also, I'm pretty sure nobody was getting angry. Just prodding. I like to rattle the cage, so to speak.
