Well, as those of us that hunt know, most states are about to start there spring turkey season. Now I love the taste of wild turkey, but I know most people have there own favorite thing to make with the meat, so share what your favorite recipes are!

As for mine, After we kill the bird we skin it like you would a deer or squirrel, after that we cut the breast meat up into little chunks and slow butter fry it in a pan on a nice and low heat, after it starts to get that brown done color pop it off and take a bite, the flavor left is pretty much the wild game flavor, but the butter frying makes the meat softer and moister so its a good way to cook those older birds :)

Now for the legs, honestly there to boney for me to see any actual cooking coming from them, but if you boil them in water for a bit you can get some excelent turkey stock :D

edit : misspelled breast as breat

I can't wait till I can start going hunting again, just reading that made me salivate uncontrollably. I grew up on venison and wild caught fish, though I recall having pheasant a few times. Cower in fear all edible creatures, I am coming!

I don't hunt, but I have a lot of friends who do. Being broke, I've lived on nothing but moose, venison, salmon, halibut, and taters this year. I've never cooked turkey, but I make a lot of stew and pan-fried meat.
