"We have had enough of this endless war with a foe who invaded not only our kingdoms, our cities, and our homes, but our very world. The demon Horde is an abomination before the Light -- of this fact, supported by its most respected disciples, there can be no doubt. As soon as a ray of hope glimmers in the eternal darkness, a hope for peace between our peoples, a hope that the Horde had truly reformed, our most valiant warriors are slain before the gates of Icecrown by a great new plague. Some say our first enemy is Arthas Menethil the Lich King. To them, I say with all the conviction in my soul: we must eradicate the old villains before we have a hope of conquering the new.

"The Light-fearing people of the Alliance deserve and will have victory. The hardships, suffering and sacrifices that are faced with exemplary courage and dignity by the people of Stormwind, of Ironforge, of Darnassus and of Draenor will have their day of compensation when all the enemy forces are crushed on the battlefields by the heroism of our soldiers; and a triple, immense cry will cross the mountains and oceans like lightning and light new hopes and give new certainties to spirit multitudes: Victory, Alliance, peace with justice among peoples!" -- Closing remarks at a meeting of the Wool Traders' Union, Ironforge. Attributed to P.T. Irontoe, Chief Executive of Fordragon Imports

Fordragon Imports was chartered (http://fordragonimports.wowstead.com/forums/thread/12#12) in January 2009 in order to fill a void left by two major Alliance PvP guilds which recently disbanded, boost world PvP combat, and revitalize Alliance roleplaying with a uniquely radical approach to the war on the Horde.

The rest of this post is copied directly from the Fordragon Imports Mission Statement (http://fordragonimports.wowstead.com/custom/1). Recruiting will begin on a date during the week of January 12.

Apply online today! (http://fordragonimports.wowstead.com/recruit)

PLAYER VS. PLAYER

Guild premades for battlegrounds will be scheduled at the time recruitment starts. The great thing about premades is that you don't need a full raid to start them. People can come and go as necessary. Though we constantly strive for a greater number of quality recruits, in reality a full 15 man premade of level 80 Imports members will likely not exist until a full month after recruitment begins. That said, you join the guild with the understanding that you are expected to level to 80 and get your welfare epics with the rest of us.

Battleground premades are not the final word on organized PvP, of course, and are not the way we will make a name for ourselves. World PvP objectives are Fordragon Imports' specialty. This is in part because (1) it is a social roleplaying guild, and the community is out in the open world, not in a 10 minute Arathi Basin game. (2) Civilian targets are squishier. (3) Every guild member can participate in World PvP events. If you are level 80 and feel that biweekly romps across Contested and Horde territory would hold you back, this is not the guild for you. (4) World PvP objectives are in keeping with the theme of the guild, a radical paramilitary organization bent on the annihilation of every last parrot who knows a word of Orcish.

Arena teams are expected to form naturally as guild members become comfortable with each other. Forming arena teams outside of the guild is allowed.

A note: The brand-new Achievement system has given guilds like this raid-like PvP objectives to complete that require a high level of organization -- and against other players instead of a kitchen timer with damage. Fordragon Imports will tick off every one.

ROLEPLAYING

Flat out: if you don't want to roleplay, we don't want you, no matter how awesome your Retribution DPS is. ****EDIT: A word from Director of Public Relations Gregoric Dobzahnsky!

What my client meant to say here is that we at Fordragon Imports do indeed have a policy of remaining IC in our guild chat and respect and obey the rules laid out by the esteemed Blizzard creators. This does not mean that every potential recruit have a detailed backstory or a series of RP-related mods. A healthy respect for the rules of the community (well, the RP rules that is, we're prone to breaking all the other ones as our escapades atop the Orgrimmar zepplin demonstrated the other day) and a willingness to remain plausibly in character during RP events is all that is required. And I would like to note for the record, and for posterity, that I do care how awesome your DPS is.

In case you don't understand why we keep talking about wool and linen, here is a very brief, very bland guild background (all of this can be garnered in far greater detail, with more excitement, sex, and explosions, on the forums (http://fordragonimports.wowstead.com/forums)): A group of Alliance citizens realized that the world would be better off if the Alliance ran things and the Horde were all dead, and so they decided to do something about it. Because they employ more extreme methods in accomplishing their goals than most of their allies would find "conscionable," they operate a front called Fordragon Imports, a textile shipping company with two small cargo vessels and an enormous security force.

Look in the General (http://fordragonimports.wowstead.com/forums/7) section of the guild forums for guidelines on guild chat, comportment, that sort of thing. This is a mission statement, not a rulebook.

Fordragon Imports is a Fun, Mature Guild.

Undue pressure on members to level -- that is, beyond guild rank requirements and their own desire to perform -- will not be tolerated. Everyone is in this guild to have fun (by killing Horde), make friends (while killing Horde), and maybe get some welfare epics on the way. Let's stick to that philosophy.

Allow me to say something right now about maturity. We will all, either collectively and individually, be called names like "immature" or "kids" because of what we will do -- kill Horde players, and kill lots of them. No matter their level, no matter their guild. If you can kill them and survive, DO IT. The people who call you those names for killing them (in contested territory, on a PvP server) are ignorant, stupid, flaming trolls. And I hope they read this, because I got enough of their carebear crap when I was in a guild called the Cartel Enforcers. You do not respond to them, you do not incite them except by killing them over and over in an online game and deriving a great deal of satisfaction from it. That's maturity.

That said, if anyone is caught doing something genuinely idiotic, like calling out people on the server forums, disciplinary action will ensue.

((FINALLY an RP guild that is not full of carebear Horde huggers. Spotlore has been killing Horde in this manor for years, and does have a very long and involved back story. I would love to travel with people that can World PvP effectively and not look at me funny when I start spewing out in character things.))

Fordragon Imports, I am not ready to join your ranks as of yet. However you can call on me to fight at your side. I look forward to seeing how you apply yourselves on the only battlefield that truly matters.

Fordragon Imports is still short on members, though every one of our 11 members is an active main above level 70 who has shown a high degree of PvP competence. Attendance at the major World PvP event (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=15265) this weekend (specific time, date, and objectives are in the Alliance forum thread) will not only allow potential recruits to get a feel for the guild, but also satisfy the most difficult criterion for promotion to full membership after being invited.

"Just moments ago, Fordragon Imports agents learned that every year during the Lunar Festival, a terrible tragedy is allowed to take place. You see, while many of our blessed ancestors' spirits enjoy the peaceful, joyous celebration shared by all Light-fearing Alliance folk, near the same number are held captive within the dens of our ruthless enemy. There they endure the Horde's famed hospitality, awaiting any person of conscience bold enough to save them.

"The Alliance governments, in all their wisdom, have deemed this shameful situation to be below the purview of their coalition; thus it is up to us, the few who dare to do what we know to be necessary, to liberate the Elders from their foul oppressors! Go, and deliver unto the Horde a righteous punishment for its transgressions against our beloved ancestors!

"For the Light!"

On Saturday afternoon, Fordragon Imports carried out a sweeping assault against the Horde towns that held Elders. Aided by Alliance adventurers, elements of the company's Security division struck a blow for righteousness in outposts across Kalimdor, Lordaeron, and Northrend. Great cities proved to be no safe haven for the so-called "reformed" Horde, nor secure prisons for the grateful spirits.

MINUTES OF 2.7.09 MEETING

1. Call to order: Dr Dobzahnsky, Mr Graham, Ms Emmalyn, Mr Deusbelli, and Mr Irontoe in attendance at Bruuk's Ironforge. Mr Lathai participates remotely via gnomebox from Naxxramas.

2. Promotion ceremony postponed briefly for announcement from Chief Executive Irontoe.

3. Mr Irontoe reviews corporate policy on the duties of new recruits (http://fordragonimports.wowstead.com/forums/thread/14).

4. Two minute recess. Ms Ryoku summoned into meeting room. Minor nether vortex damage to surrounding area billed to executive expense account.

5. Mr Irontoe wraps up talk on recruits.

6. Two minute recess. Ms Catilyn summoned. Small part of barmaid sucked into the great beyond. The official stance of Fordragon Imports is apologetic; furthermore, it is the position of this company that the Titans blessed the hardy dwarves with a spare arm, and thus such a trifling incident merits no monetary restitution.

7. Dr Gregoric Dobzahnsky promoted to [Boss] Public Relations Weasel. Source of scattered applause undetermined.

8. Applause now attributed to severed troll hands jury-rigged and secreted about the room. Dr Dobzahnsky protests his innocence.

9. Ms Catilyn Blightwalker, a shining example of this company's dedication to equal-opportunity employment for the deceased, promoted to [Boss] Honor Mule.

10. Recruitment drive begins.

11. Recruitment drive interrupted by attempted assassination of King Magni Bronzebeard.

12. Call to arms. Mounted security forces descend upon Horde raiding party; demons sighted running loose among their ranks.

13. Entire Horde raid dispatched within minutes primarily by Fordragon Imports, assisted by four unaffiliated Alliance fighters. Fordragon Imports security team sustains no casualties.

14. Mulgore expedition (see "Exposing Druid Hypocrisy") postponed due to time constraint.

15. Meeting adjourned by Mr Irontoe to Kharanos graveyard, where weakened Horde meet oblivion upon resurrection.

Unprovoked Attack on Undercity! Heavy Civilian Casualties

TIRISFAL GLADES (Darnassus Press) -- In a daring mid-afternoon strike, alleged elements of Fordragon Imports' Security division headed by Chief Executive P.T. Irontoe enforced a full blockade of the Ruins of Lordaeron. All caravans in and out of the city were waylaid at the gates as battle-hardened corporate goon squads held off defenders.

A statement issued by the company at the time of the raid "categorically" denied all accusations of terrorist activity in Horde territory. "Our hearts go out to the families of those killed in the Undercity conflict," read the press release, "though Fordragon Imports can assume no responsibility for the incident. All accusations to that effect are at best irresponsible and at worst more subversive propaganda from the liberal elf media."

At a private recruitment dinner the previous evening, however, Mr Irontoe had hinted that a "firestorm of justice" would soon descend upon every "man, woman, and child who speaks a work of Orcish." Whether that was mere hyperbole intended to attract young recruits or something more sinister, we leave to the reader to decide.

Early reports indicate anonymous traders within the Undercity itself quickly took advantage of skyrocketing textile prices to flood the market with linen bandages priced at over three times the yearly average.

Do you want honor? Do you want marks? Are you a typical Alliance player, who wonders why you aren't getting either honor or marks even when you kill all those Horde in between the farm and the blacksmith?

Fordragon Imports, Alliance PvP-RP guild, is hosting OPEN PREMADE NIGHT every Saturday at 6PM. Come and learn winning strategies from people who know how to win, and see how unorganized and frail Horde really are against players who fight near flags and defend demolishers. Who knows, you may like our guild so much that you decide to apply.

To join the raid, you must be level 80, you must be a class we're looking for, and you absolutely, positively must have the latest version of Preform AV Enabler, which you can download from wow.curse.com like any other addon.

NOTE: Open Premade Night has been moved to this Friday, March 13, instead of Saturday. See you in Strand of the Ancients!

A battle raged at the Blue Sky Logging Grounds. A fresh infantry battalion had arrived in the night from the Westfall Brigade to the east, spurred by an anonymous report that the Conquest Hold berserkers were massing for a dawn assault. It didn't take the orcs long to recover from their surprise after the first flares lit up the ruined lumber camp, and now the two sides were engaged in pitched battle once more over its vital resources.

So fierce was the fighting that no one paid any heed to a gang of men dragging four dugout canoes onto the stream bank below the lumber mill. A dwarf flanked by a gnome and a human waited on the bank. The dwarf had tucked his rifle against his shoulder, scanning the opposite bank through the scope. The human's eyes glowed faintly white, marking her for a death knight; her hand rested lightly on a sheathed sword as she watched the rise up to the lumber mill. The gnome, unarmed and oddly dressed in a scholar's robes, stared nonplussed at the gang's leader, a game hunter from somewhere in the surrounding hills.

The hunter spoke up, "Oi, here be the bloody cargo, as requested. Now where's our payment?"

The dwarf lowered his rifle barrel to level with the man's eyes. "Professor, why don't ye 'ave a look at tha goods, eh?"

"Right-o," said the gnome, and moved to the nearest canoe, which was piled high with oblong paper packages. Bringing out a pen knife, he slit open a package and caught the white powder that spilled out. Without warning, the dust ignited in his hand, producing a brilliant green flame. Apparently satisfied, he announced, "The armadillo is in the hole. Repeat, the armadillo is in the hole."

The death knight gave him an odd look. The dwarf just shook his head and said, "Everythin' appears to be in order. Take tha far canoe as payment. I know it do be a little more than ye asked for, but let's consider this a non-disclosifyin' agreement, eh?"

As the hunters left with the fourth canoe, Irontoe turned to Catilyn. "We need te get this stuff into Orgrimmar as soon as possible. Now, I've lined up some outside contractors--" Dobzahnsky sneezed heavily and looked up from the canoe, rubbing his nose furiously. Catilyn's glowing eyes never blinked. "-- some outside contractors to transport tha material. It'll all be on a ship to Kalimdor in two weeks' time. I do be willin' to pay three hundred gold fer its safe conduct to tha Tirisfal zeppelin stations; tha goblins will handle it from there. Understood?"

Catilyn nodded. "Understood. And if the Horde should learn about the shipment?"

"Then I 'ope tha smugglers do be well armed."

_________________________

WHAT: Race!

PRIZE: 300g for 1st place.

WHEN: Sunday, March 22, at 7 PM server time

WHERE: Starting at an undisclosed location in Kalimdor, participants will have to carry a specific item to the top of the Undercity zeppelin station to Orgrimmar.

CONSTRAINTS: Due to the instability of the compounds being transported, the smugglers may not use any portals or flight paths. In addition, Alliance customs officers have been cracking down on drug smuggling in recent weeks; ships out of Alliance ports are a no-go.

CAVEATS: (1) The Horde knows you're coming. They will likely be guarding obvious choke points, like the zeppelin routes connecting to Undercity, the boat from Ratchet to Booty Bay, and Tirisfal Glades itself. There is safety in numbers, but bear in mind that only the first one to the top of the zeppelin station wins 300g. (2) To prevent cheating, each person will be issued a random item from a set of similar items, and the progress of each person will be monitored by raid leaders on the world map.

Have fun! Don't get killed!

ROGUES! Sick of being rejected from raiding guild after raiding guild? Tired of being treated like a second class citizen because a hundred Death Knights are always available to fill melee DPS slots?

Have you considered PvP?

Fordragon Imports currently has zero Rogues on its roster, and we're looking to fix that. Because stealth and stuns are still damned helpful when you're trying to kill Horde, no matter how miserably useless you feel on any given Naxxramas run. To run with us, you'll need to roleplay, sure. We do have a heavily used OOC channel and vent, however; besides, how hard is it to toss in a "Death to the Horde!" or a "...Horde conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids" every once in a while? You'll probably enjoy it.

To see our roster, mission statement, forums, past events, and the quick and easy application, go to

We're several weeks into regular battleground premades and still run frequent planned World PvP events. We take all classes and specs as long as you're level 60+ and open to RP.

How long have paladins, druids, priests, and shamans (and spell power hunters like me) struggled under the yoke of raid schedules? Are you sick of being traded in and out of groups and guilds just so the min-maxers can finish a boss fight a few seconds faster? Isn't it time for a change?

Have you ever considered PvP?

There is no better equalizer than the open world, where you win fights because you have more friends and more skill -- not because you slotted in a shadow priest instead of a fury warrior in the third group from the left and ran clockwise two and a half times around a room while singing "God Save the Queen" through your nose. Fordragon Imports fights in the open world, battlegrounds, and arenas, and we need YOU! We do require roleplaying when appropriate. We have a heavily used OOC channel and vent, however; besides, how hard is it to toss in a "Death to the Horde!" or a "...Horde conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids" every once in a while? You'll probably enjoy it.

HEALING CLASSES OF THE WORLD, UNITE! YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BUT YOUR CHAINS.

Professor,

Greetings, citizen!

My name is John, and I am a Fordragon Imports employee who is extremely satisfied with his job security and pay. Besides all the great financial and personal benefits that stem from being an employee of such a fine outstanding company, I also derive a great deal of enjoyment from some R&R time with my buddies from the Imports crew.

Every Sunday, a few of us Imports employees go on retreat in the warm tropical climate of Stranglethorn Vale. This past weekend, after a brief spell on the warm sandy beaches soaking up the sun, we took a cruise out of Booty Bay. All we wanted to do was work on our tan and frolic with scantily clad, oddly flexible elf women, who are naturally attracted to us because of our steady paycheck and really fun job, but we sure were happy to take a break and help the goblins with security on deck! Here are some pictures I took with my Fordragon Imports pals:

Fordragon Imports ran a fairly involved World PvP event on Friday. Instead of writing something up in character, like I usually do, hiding all the planning and preparation that went into the raid, I wanted to give people a glimpse of how our guild operates. So here is the plan that thirty-five Alliance players carried out flawlessly last night. You can also see it with its original formatting at:

http://fordragonimports.wowstead.com/forums/thread/56#206

BRIEFING

Mere days ago, Fordragon Imports analysts uncovered a hidden network of informants across Azeroth who relay information to Forsaken spies. Security forces must move quickly to staunch the flow of information potentially harmful to the firm's peacekeeping efforts abroad. The finest tacticians money can buy have labored diligently on a plan to silence all elements of the network simultaneously and prevent any further disruption of our righteous works from that source.

MISSION

Assassinate all eight informants of The Grim and prevent them from passing vital information to Undercity spies.

PLAN OF ATTACK

At 6:00 PM server time today, Friday, Fordragon Imports members will begin recruiting for a raid group set to strike against unspecified Horde targets at 8:00. By 8:00 on the dot, the entire raid group should be assembled at the Alliance portals in Dalaran. Instead of charging the Undercity in a vain and belated attempt to disrupt the race at the starting line, guild leadership has come up with a clever plan for halting the race in progress.

Each racer is given a piece of paper (presumably copied letters) with eight clues to the locations of eight Grim members who act as checkpoints. We have a spy attending the race who will pass us the clues and try to find out on her own where each checkpoint is. The weakest link in this plan is, of course, the spy, but everything will be done in the hours leading up to the race to ensure his or her emplacement at the starting line. From the clues and the knowledge of the spy, Imports members will try to deduce the target locations in guild chat. This is important. Do not use vent or raid chat to work this out, as pugs are never to be trusted.

Raid organization is as follows:

* The raid, whatever size it may be, will be split into squads of 5. Class distribution permitting, each squad will have either a druid or a hunter in addition to a healer. Available mages will be spread as evenly as possible through the groups for portal capability. The remaining three will be placed according to the order in which they joined the raid.
* As soon as the general location of one race checkpoint is deduced, a single squad will be dispatched to the nearest Alliance city to fly to the target zone. The order the squads are dispatched will be determined by the order in which they joined the raid.
* Hunters and druids (in Cat Form) will have Track Humanoids up at all times to find the target. Blackened Worg Steaks will also be distributed to every member of the raid to assist in the hunt.
* Squads are to report the specific (x,y) coordinates of the checkpoints in case we need to send reinforcements to shut it down.
* The last group to leave will have at least one warlock with a full bag of shards for rapid redeployment of forces.
* Ideally, we will have at least 40 players above level 77 ready to go by 8:00 so we can track down and kill all eight targets; however, we can make do with as few as 20.

VENT INFORMATION

We will use a different vent server for this event to maintain the essential secrecy of the plan.

SATURDAY

Catilyn Blightwalker's arena tournament on Saturday went surprisingly well, given all the opportunities for mischief in a Free-for-All PvP zone like the Nagrand Arena. Irontoe won the open battle at the end and donated his 400g in prize money back to the guild vault.

SUNDAY

For the third week in a row, Fordragon Imports successfully rigged the Stranglethorn Vale fishing tournament in favor of the Alliance, at one point overcoming over 12 Horde 80s simultaneously (mostly Thrall's Poker Buddies) to kill the fisher they were protecting. The Alliance fishers in the zone once more expressed their gratitude.

Immediately afterward, we assaulted Grom'Gol Base Camp, annihilating a token defensive force. One hijacked zeppelin ride later, the raid arrived at the gates of the Undercity, where we held the throne room and courtyard without dying for upwards of 30 minutes.

After three free-for-all rounds and a team death match, our own Dobzahnsky won the Tonks tournament in the Darkshore troll village.

At our meeting, several key changes to guild policy were announced.

* Due to the recent inundation of new members, recruitment will now be done in batches. We still accept applications all the time, but new recruits will only be inducted once every two weeks at special events.
* New members may now only stay at the recruit rank for 3 weeks before they're kicked.
* To advance beyond the recruit rank, members must attend at least one scheduled PvP event.
* A fifth boss position has been added with unique responsibilities. Congratulations on your promotion, Illisade!

During the course of the meeting, a traitorous member was exposed and chased to the top of the troll chieftain's hut, but a timely Horde attack allowed him to escape. A group from was given a steaming pile of unrecoverable corpses while Fordragon Imports sustained zero casualties.

A quick jaunt to Tarren Mill subsequently uncovered a raid group of 13 to 16 members of and their allies. After a single retreat, we regrouped and routed their raid, razing Tarren Mill in the process.

And that was when I logged out. I can't vouch for what sort of shenanigans have occurred since then.

Fordragon Imports has reached a major milestone, a goal that I set for our instanced PvP back in January: we filled a 15 person Arathi Basin premade with our members. And for the first time ever, we won every game we played tonight.

Congratulations, people!

Stormwind Harbor (FMG) -- In a brief ceremony on board a Fordragon Imports cargo ship, P.T. Irontoe inducted sixteen recruits to the company in front of an Alliance banner and four crates of textiles. The new hires, who had applied and been accepted in the previous two weeks, were given a rousing speech and a few admonitions about proper handling of the firm's delicate frostweave products.

Ms. Sindarella Sorrowind received a promotion to Director of Human Resources. According to the Mr. Irontoe, this position implies responsibility for the non-combative activities and gatherings of the firm's large security force.

The meeting adjourned when a Forsaken warrior was spotted off the prow of the ship. Its crew eagerly engaged in the rapid, merciless defense of Stormwind's sovereignty.

(OOC)

I figured since we were already at the top of the forum, a little post wouldn't hurt.

We inducted 17 new recruits on Saturday (1 alt), bringing our total membership up to 71. Again, every single one is a roleplayer.

At the same time, we set a record peak concurrency of 25 members online simultaneously.

39 out of 42 80s have been active in the last three days.

Sindarella was promoted to Director of Human Resources (the officer in charge of RP). Illisade received a similar promotion for his careful monitoring of Horde activity.

Fordragon Imports members took first place in every event hosted by Noxtrael this weekend -- a race, a dueling tourney, and a jousting tourney. Irontoe won the race and joust; Catilyn won the dueling tournament; Fortinbraas took second place in the race; and Keltag took second in jousting.

Due entirely to the efforts of Fordragon Imports members, the Alliance has won the Stranglethorn Vale fishing tournament five weeks in a row. They have repeatedly contended with and overcome ever-growing Horde raid groups trying to protect their fishers, then proceeded each week to launch empirically successful attacks on Horde capital cities.

So yeah. Hurray Imports.

Our run of successful premades continues this weekend with Fordragon Imports members getting two of the hardest battleground achievements in the game, plus Loyal Defender.

A combination of numbers and superior organization won the fishing tournament for the Alliance for the SIXTH week in a row. Erudar, the winner of the tournament, went on with Fordragon Imports to attack Undercity. The bank, flight master, and auction houses fell to a crushing assault before most of the raid escaped through the sewer tunnel.

The guild motorcycle gang (http://fordragonimports.wowstead.com/forums/thread/186) has already raised enough money to place a shiny new Mekgineer's Chopper in Bolgrin's capable hands. The deadline for signing up (and the end of the first payment period) is this Saturday at 11:59 PM.

Hours after stymieing an attempted assassination of Stormwind's King Wrynn, a Fordragon Imports task force successfully infiltrated Orgrimmar to the seat of Horde power without raising an alarm. It is unclear now whether the vicious warmonger Thrall sustained mortal wounds, but he and his guards were entirely incapacitated by the sneak attack. Horde oppressors rushed to his aid, but the combined assault of The Grim, Pk Pk, Vanderheim the Optional Boss, and various bystanders failed to inflict serious casualties.

The seditionist blood elf apologist Vanderheim herself is believed dead, slain in the defense of the Warchief. The subsequent evacuation of the raiding party, however, prevented verification of Horde battlefield losses.

((Because the Horde somehow got advance warning of our attack and had formed a defense raid a full half hour in advance of our attack, we had to find a... sneaky... way to Thrall. We did not trigger any Local Defense alarms until Thrall was already engaged. It was Imports' first city leader attempt, first 40 man raid, and the highest participation PvP event we've run with 19 members directly involved.

We also got a level 1 Trade channel troll into the throne room to get his achievement. He did not die the entire time he was in the raid, even when the Horde defense raid finally realized where we were.))

Hours after stymieing an attempted assassination of Stormwind's King Wrynn...

Professor Dobzahnsky pushed his way to the front of the crowd, elbowing his way passed the knees of the human guards. "Doctor here, everyone out of my way!"

He put the stethoscope up the King's chest. He laid on the floor of his keep with numerous axe wounds from the Grim's troll warrior. His heart wasn't beating.

Pulling out his goblin jumper cables from his sack he crossed his fingers and the wires and applied them to the King's chest...

"Woohoo! The King lives!"

TO CONTINUE OUR BREAKNECK PROGRESSION PACE, WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- tanks (must be good plz. no scrubs)
- healers (u have to be good too. no scrubs.)
- DPS (anything but hunters. also have to be super good like Irontoe)

SOME CHANGES WE'RE MAKING

We've given up silly, unfun things like city defense raids. Also Horde city raids are out. No more battleground premades every weekend, we must concentrate on getting more Ulduar loots. Also, we can't rig the fishing tournament anymore since Horde just wants their Salty title and it would be wrong to keep stopping them. Raiding lowbie towns as little rabbits has to go. Races through Horde territory... eh. No Dun Niffelem gank squads either.

In other words, no more lame PvP or RP stuff. We're going to set up some awesome DKP systems, give all the loot to guild officers first of course, of course, but I'm sure new recruits will get some gear eventually. We're going to get all of Ulduar done and be leet because pugs on other servers haven't killed Yogg yet.

Blizzard only keeps making fights harder, so the only way you will ever see end-game content is by being in a super hardcore raiding guild like ours and sticking to our schedule every night. Doing the same thing every night, every week, for the rest of your time in game seem boring? Well, it's not. It's actually way better than taking over Horde cities, hijacking zeppelins, and whatever other stupid stuff we used to do.

Tonight, Fordragon Imports staged a complete takeover of Thunder Bluff. Following the death of Cairne Bloodhoof, five squads moved to five key areas of the city -- the flight master's tower, auction tents, bank, battlemasters, and portal cave. Every major functionality of the city was locked down for a full hour.

Ultimately, the vast majority of the assault force held off the combined Horde defense and evacuated from the plains below the Spirit Rise.

The entire enterprise was an experiment to test the feasibility of similar ventures in more populated cities; an internal report will highlight the detailed successes and failures of various aspects of the raid in preparation for an upcoming attack of far broader scope.

FDI COURTS BATTLEFIELD TACTICIANS FOR MUSEUM
by Ronald Wechsler

In its ongoing effort to give back to the community, the Stormwind shipping company Fordragon Imports is actively seeking to hire battlefield tacticians to educate Alliance children about conflict abroad.

The Bolvar Fordragon Children of Conflict Memorial Heritage Preservation Museum will open its doors soon, Chief Executive P.T. Irontoe announced to a cheering crowd of schoolchildren in Stormwind Harbor while he held a human baby in each arm. Popular speculation fingers the charismatic dwarf as a candidate for the Ironforge senate during the next election cycle.

Comments from company executives reveal that the museum will have a tightly focused scope. "Because of the harsh economic reality of these troubled times," Director of Public Relations Gregoric Dobzahnsky said in a statement earlier today, "our upstanding firm cannot afford to include the land dispute with the Lich King or other such minor altercations in the BFCCMHPM. The battlefield strategists we are looking for must be experienced in the ongoing war with the Horde."

No specific date has yet been set for the grand opening. Applicants have been told to direct all inquiries to company officers.

This is the plan to attack Silvermoon City that was carried out (nearly) flawlessly by an Alliance raid led by Fordragon Imports earlier tonight. I'm posting the plan because we will attempt a new strategy the next time we assault SMC. We have several similar events coming up; for more details, whisper Irontoe in game.

Fordragon Imports is an RP-PvP guild that runs regular world events and premades.

BRIEFING

Where once adventurers had stood idly by while Horde incursions ravaged the outskirts of their cities, this band of terrorists branding themselves the "Raven Cross" had forced a response by targeting essential economic infrastructure. Yet these soft merchants and undisciplined cowards had failed to destroy the raid even in the heart of Alliance power.

Irontoe hammered the map table of his war room on board a cargo vessel bound for Kalimdor. The Horde had invited reprisal, and by the Light they would feel the wrath of righteous warriors unbound by the laws of civilization. Sweeping, blocky red arrows marked bands of fighters infiltrating the wilderness surrounding all four Horde capitals. The coming week would see civilian bloodshed on a scale unequaled since the Third War; this Raven Cross and other groups like it would soon know the true cost in lives of waging war against a foe who had righteousness on his side.

MISSION

Assassinate Regent Lord Lor'themar Theron.

Cripple Silvermoon City's civilian and mercantile infrastructure by holding, at a minimum, its banks, auction houses, flight master, and main thoroughfares.

PLAN OF ATTACK

At 6:30 PM, begin public recruitment for the raid in all zones. Pay particular attention to high level questing areas, such as Icecrown, Storm Peaks, and Sholazar Basin, capital cities, and popular hangouts such as Goldshire. All zone-specific recruitment should be done in character in /y. Create a macro that reads something like:

"/y Join our raid to strike at the seditionist elves in Silvermoon City! Attacking as soon as we reach 40 able fighters."

We need at least 10 healers, 2 mages, 1 warlock with LOTS of soul shards, and 1 tank for the city boss.

Once we reach 40 people, fly to Light's Hope Chapel. Meet at the gate on the road into the Ghostlands. Summon all stragglers. The raid leader should be rearranging the groups at this point to match the recommended group assignments below.

Ride to within sight of the gates of Silvermoon City, avoiding all contact with Horde NPCs on the way. Wait for stragglers.

Ride inside, up the left side of the avenue. Turn right at the northern end and go through the gate to Murder Row. Go inside the Murder Row inn. Instruct the raid that this is our rendezvous point. When the raid leader FIRST calls to evacuate, all raid members, with the exception of those at the flight master, must make their way as best they can to this inn. When the raid leader NEXT calls to evacuate, all mages in the raid must make portals on the second floor. At that point the raid will be over.

Charge on foot to the Regent Lord! Pull him to a side room, tank and spank. Groups 1 and 2 must defend against Horde outside the doorway.

Hold the room after killing Theron, and clear out all Horde players. Assign each group their targets. From this point forward, all city-wide raid communication should be done in LocalDefense.

RAID GROUP TARGETS

Groups 1-5: Floating Steamroll; roam the city; assist any of the other three groups as necessary; tamp down Horde resistance.
Group 6: The Bazaar (western bank and auction house)
Group 7: The Royal Exchange (eastern bank and auction house)
Group 8: Flight Master (outside the city gates); must have a warlock; no mages in this group.

As soon as the raid downs Lor'themar Theron, recruitment should begin in Trade for the city takeover to keep numbers up. The warlock at the flight path outside the city will summon additional members. Do not hesitate to remove people from the raid to make room for more, but give warning beforehand as to the reason and tell the people to keep following their group. New raid members should first fill in gaps in the smaller groups, otherwise join the floating steamroll.

Again, as soon as the first evacuation is called, either because the raid force is overwhelmed (unlikely) or grows bored, the entire raid should move to the Murder Row inn and prepare to portal out on the second floor. At the second evacuation call, put up the portals and leave immediately. We want as few people left behind as possible.

GOOD LUCK!

EXTRA! Rioting in Horde Capitals! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkriUVsH9Z8)
by Diym Red

Ratchet (UM) -- In what experts are calling a "continuance of a clear pattern of instigated mob violence," portals opened all over the city of Orgrimmar Thursday night. Rioters poured out, some disguised as orcs or trolls, some not even bothering to hide their pink skin.

Well-armed and -organized gangs stormed the auction house, wyvern tower, and bank, killing and pillaging at will. Most of the bank staff on duty at the time were slaughtered by the as yet unkown assailants. Several minutes after the first portal appeared in the Valley of Strength, an explosion rocked the canyon, and smoke was seen over the busy auction house.

Horde adventurers swarmed the market square to repel the rioters, but behind them looters stampeded the unguarded bank and stalls of fallen merchants. Many hung back, expecting the Kor'kron to restore order within moments, unaware that Grommash Hold itself was under siege.

Similar attacks had occured in Silvermoon City and Thunder Bluff in the previous two days, but until the third and most successful gutting of a Horde city center, they had been dismissed as isolated incidents.

That same night saw the abrupt withdrawal of nearly three quarters of Horde armed forces stationed in the Barrens. In the north, dust clouds stretched across the horizon as orcs jogged in formation up the roads toward Orgrimmar, and the Thunder Bluff garrison at Camp Taurajo had already emptied into Mulgore by Friday morning. One might expect much the same thing to be happening in Quel'thalas and Tirisfal Glades; the Undercity is now the only Horde capital to have avoided rioting.

Local outlaws were quick to capitalize on the sudden power vacuum. Mr Gazlowe, kingpin of Ratchet, tripled the bruiser force on the ground in the bustling port town as reports surfaced of rampant banditry in the region. Already, ships have been turned back from its long pier out of fear of land-based attacks from the Southsea pirates.

The last report from inland of Ratchet has the centaur tribes riding in force toward the Crossroads.

To All Employees:

Having just celebrated the six month anniversary of its founding, Fordragon Imports has entered a period of change. Our efforts center on three key areas:

Reasserting our dominance on the stage of world player-versus-player combat,
Refocusing our efforts to promote Alliance roleplay, and
Reviving participation in our unique, fun guild events.

All three are closely linked, of course. We have always striven to mingle roleplaying with Horde killing and vice versa. And the entire reason we DO get such high participation in our events is that mixing PvP, RP, and a heap of inventiveness is so damn fun. Who could forget turning into rabbits and raiding Mulgore during Noblegarden to prove that the tauren druids would callously bash the Easter Bunny's brains in (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWDe7uJSpCE)? Or running a race to smuggle drugs from Darkshore to the finish line at the Undercity zeppelin tower in order to corrupt Horde youth (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=15443313718&sid=1)? Or mass suicide bombing the Wintergrasp keep door before it had even occurred to the stupid Goons?

The fact is, though, that nothing we have done so far could have been pulled off by one person corralling forty strangers into a raid. In every case, Fordragon Imports had ten, twenty, or thirty guild members online, eager to do something that had never been done before and do it well. So when the school year ended, and, as is common for guilds all over WoW, we saw a precipitous drop in activity, we were stymied.

Fordragon Imports is not a raiding guild, killing the same things every week with people who are strapped to a raid schedule; nor are we a run-of-the-mill PvP guild, content to sit on our asses and congratulate each other on our awesomeness while tiny groups of two, three, or five people watch a rating number tick up or down. Certainly we run premades to gear our members appropriately, and certainly we run VoA or Ulduar 10man once in a while, but our focus is killing Horde, as a united group, in new and exciting ways.

Our sort of guild relies on large numbers to charge SCREAMING LIKE @#$%ING BRAVEHEART on vent through the front gates of Orgrimmar at peak time, just as it relies on numbers to drop what they're doing and crush any Horde city raid we see. We can't really make it worth our time when we have to give half our group to a bunch of random morons from Trade chat.

I, your guild leader, will personally do everything in my power to pull Fordragon Imports back up to the activity level we enjoyed in May. You have already witnessed a surge in recruitment from the public events our guild has led, such as the Horde city takeovers and the coordinated Wintergrasp defense raids. Still to come are major changes such as a pair of proposed guild mergers and a dedicated recruitment drive. You, too, can help by telling your friends about the fun we have when we work together, participating fully in our events, or becoming an officer and leading your compatriots to victory.

Above all, keep our mission in mind and play the game the way you want to!

I have decided to eliminate the application process in its entirety. Instead, the probationary rank will be somewhat more meaningful. Rather than be subjected to an ultimately meaningless application, recommendation, and interview, recruits will receive an "on the job" evaluation of their competence in group PvP before being promoted to full member.

That is all.

To benefit the whole guild, our members individually need to do some specific things to improve their solo game. Fordragon Imports has a reputation for being bad in 1v1 combat. That reputation is mainly due to our willingness to come help guildmates when they're having trouble with Horde -- the Horde are unused to dealing with Alliance who actually help each other, and thus convince themselves that OUR lack of skill is the reason THEY get their asses handed to them. While this is, of course, illogical and untrue, many of our 80s lack some key experience and knowledge that would help them greatly in day-to-day Horde killing.

BIND YOUR ABILITIES TO HOTKEYS. I really couldn't say anything here better than this guy (http://wow.zuggaming.com/2008/06/21/hotkeys-guide-building-for-speed/) already has. Follow his instructions to the letter.

Arenajunkies.com. (http://arenajunkies.com/) Learn it, live it, love it. Look at your class forum, choose a cookie cutter PvP spec and learn to play it well.

DO ARENAS. You may not like it. You will probably fail horribly for your first hundred games. That doesn't matter. You just need the experience -- not to do well in arenas, but to excel in world PvP and battlegrounds with your guildmates.

GET GEARED. Get all the gear that can be purchased with honor and remains beneficial to your class. At the time of this writing, this means Hateful main set gear or equivalent (for instance, mages often find wearing two pieces of Tier 7 and three pieces of Gladiator's is more beneficial than four pieces of Gladiator's), and Deadly off set.

I am making a new non-officer rank called the Commando. Those Soldiers who demonstrate the above four conditions will be promoted to Commando. Aside from the obvious distinction of being one of the guild's more skilled PvPers, Commandos receive preference over Soldiers in filling battleground premades and guild arena teams.

Fordragon Imports disbanded on August 5, 2009 at 7:33 pm.

I have made the decision to disband Fordragon Imports. Cartain matters have reached the point where it is no longer enjoyable on the whole for me to run the guild. I do not feel comfortable promoting any of its current members to Guild Master to replace me, and nothing will change my mind on that score. During our nearly seven months of operation -- in fact, up until the last three weeks or so -- it was an extremely rewarding guild to run. We did things in World PvP that no one on this server has ever even thought of, had a lot of fun, and were pretty much the best guild on the server.

Just sayin'.

The issue is not that "the guild is falling apart," which it is not true in any way. Or that "we don't do the same stuff we used to," which IS true but something I see as part of the natural progression of the guild. It is exactly what I said: the parts of guild management that are stressful and aggravating to me have come to dominate my entire experience in the game.

So sometime soon Fordragon Imports members will find themselves guildless, and I will spend much of my time from here on out leveling a troll shaman. To my people: thank you for the best time I've spent in any game, and good luck in whatever guild you may join (or form yourself!) next. You're a Fordragon Imports member. You will improve any guild you join. Be selective about which one you choose, and don't settle for a crummy organization just because they're one of a dozen who call themselves "RP-PvP."
