[LFRP (H)] Psychotherapy

[Mharren]

CHARACTER TEMPLATE:

Character: Prof.Mharren Sil'Anion (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=13422&highlight=mharren)
Description: Mharren is listed as an 'Elemntal Physicist' due to her being a mage, but her mentor was somewhat of a wiseman/scientist/physician and she too would be considered such ontop of her chosen occupation.
Looking for: RP 'Patients'. Azeroth is home to plenty of interesting, twisted, disturbed and perhaps just plain deviant characters. I thought it might be interesting if an objective, largely critical character like Mharren served as a community shrink.
Restrictions: None.
Level of RP desired: In-game interview sessions with 'patients' and then I was thinking of posting in the Nether Legends something like a Patient Filing Archive. i.e.:

"Date: 00 Winter
Patient: Sevik Sil'Amore
Session: III.

~Notes and Summary etc.~"

Might be an inadvertant way of collectively presenting certain intimate character aspects to the community.
Misc. notes: Just a few things about the RP if this were to occur:

-I would prefer OOC appointments made for the IC 'appointments'. No 'walk-ups' so to speak. If being late or consistantly absent for such appts is part of the RP...Id rather know OOCly so I'm not actually making IRL time arrangements to be there for the RP.
-IC Mharren would adhere to the IRL rules of confidentiality and it would hopefully be assumed that anything revealed about any 'patient' in the RP records was not public knowledge.
- I would love for Mharren to have a few on-going clients, perhaps to fill a role in certain storylines or character lives.
- I keep my IC and OOC as seperate as possible. I would expect the same from anyone who I RP with. If Mharren tells your Character something they don't like, I should hope there is no confusion about roles and boundaries and that everyone can remain friendly. You know, that whole IC/OOC wall thing.
Contact: Contact through TNG mail would be best. then we can decide about where to move on from there if anyone is interested.

Disclaimer: I don't want any RP that occurs during 'therapy' to become a problem for The Grim. When your character speaks to Mharren in 'therapy' they aren't speaking to The Grim. This is just meant to be fun, not cause any wars or some such.


HOW TO BOOK AND APPOINTMENT

1. Discuss any OOC matters or ask any questions through the TNG Private Messaging System.
2. Check the time table (below) for the 'tentative' times Mharren will be available (aka...I'm likely to be online).
3. Pick a 50 Minute time slot.
4. Access your in-game Calender feature.
5. Find the date desired for your Characters Appt.
6. Create a New Event
7. Put your Characters Name in the event. i.e. " Jimmy's Appointment" then be sure to input the correct AM/PM time start time i.e."10:10PM".
8. Invite MHARREN (Not your guild. lol).
9. Submit the event and when I log in Mharren will be able to either Accept (reserve and confirm that time for your character) or Decline (Won't be available or the time slot is taken).

i. If the Event is declined...try another one!
ii. Feel free to imput any 'forwarding information' in the event description, either IC or OOC. (don't forget that stuff Mharren supposed to know ICly should be sent OOCly through the TNG Private Messaging system).
iii. Show up on time. Mharren will only hang around for 10 Minutes before considering your character to have cancelled. Don't make it a habit.
iv. Right now the Paladin training center under Farstrider Square in Silvermoon is where the appts. will take place. Got something else in mind? Send me a TNG OOC Private Message.

Starting on the 11 of January these times should be available. IRL comes first, so if I don't show without notice, rest assured there is a reason.

I could see a shrink doing some good for Selash on multiple levels, the problem would be convincing him to actually get help. He's not one for talking about things. Either way, send me a tell in game and we can try to work something out. ^^

Either way, I like the RP concept. A lot.

I love this idea. Original, interesting, structured, fantastic. Good show, lass, good show! This also seems like a good opportunity for new RPers to flesh out their characters a bit and answer questions.

If you get desperate for patients let me know, I might be able to put Sowell in a session with a translater.

I very much like this idea. I've been trying to figure out a way to get Carrowyn back into the rp action from being gone so long. With the death of several people close to her and a long journey she took through dangerous lands she tends to be... odd. Not sure how to say it and I don't want to give it away. Carmensita was kind enough to be the first 'patient', and it seems to have gone well, though Silvermoon lacks 'office space'. ;)

A few points to keep in mind:

1. Make and confirm an appt. though the TNG private messaging system. Please and thank you.
2. Mharren will attempt to keep 'appointment's' to about an hour.
3. It's your job to come up with a reason as to why your there in the first place. Some ideas might be;
- "My <insert significant person here> thought I should talk to someone...so...here I am..."
- "My REAL Doctor sent me to you..."

etc.

NOTE: In regards to 'Insanity': Mharren will likely diagnose any patient as being afflicted by some sort of delusional disorder if their presented 'lore' doesn't check out with blizzard or 'commonly accepted' lore. If an aspect of your characters 'lore' is something that Mharren 'should' recognize as 'normal', please let me know oocly!
