So, this is what...minute five for me of fiinding out, as I've been away on vacation unfortunatly ignorant of whats happened.

I mentioned this to Evanthe, and to the Infection channel, that I was in the middle of working on a 24 inch sculpture of Skafloc, knowing he has the same inner-child like zeal for that sort of thing like I do.

No, shit, I honestly don't know what to do with it. Its still in the beginning stages, hoping he'd -actually- get it, but now, fuck man, not quite sure what to do.

Sooo....

What the fuck do I do with it?

If completing the sculpture is something you want to do even more now that he's gone, I say do it and either keep it yourself or send it to his real (not inner) child or make it part of the "complete package" with the TNG doing a bench, A/V presentation, and book. Another possibility I can brainstorm is selling it on e-Bay or somewhere with an appropriate description and donating the proceeds to the foundation listed in his obituary, or listing it with Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity next year.

If completing the sculpture is something you don't really want to do now that he's gone, for whatever reason, I don't think anyone would think you worse for scrapping it.

Finish it. His family might like it if you'd want to make it a gift.

This, definitely, is how I feel completely.

After some serious though, I think, although somewhat slower than the original progress I had planned, I am intending on finishing this. I can't help at feel odd about it though, since I had planned on this being a belated-Christmass gift for him, and a surprise to boot.

On occasion, Skaf and I had some very heart felt conversations about art, and he once mentioned if he had the money and the time, he'd want to have some action figures or sculptures made of some of the characters he's created over the years. When I heard about the situation with his cancer, this sprung to mind in an instant.

I know I can be a real on occasion, and I know in some circles, I'm not well liked, which hey, is fine for me, no ones perfect. But I always honestly admired Skaf cause honestly, I have yet to really hear much in terms of anyone saying any ill will towards the man, even before all this.

I do intend, once the piece is finished, to send it forward to his family, to his son specifically, in as much painstacking detail as my fingers can muster.

That, is where you all come in.

It's very hard, for artists, though for me personally, to get out details out of pretty much thin air. With the incredibly large amount of stories being posted of both Skafs own writing, and others, I've been attempting to search for an accurate, if not decent, representation of what Skafloc would normally be wearing. What was his usual 'outdoor' attire, as he was a hunter, what type of weapons did he use, was he know to wear any rings, necklaces, charms, ect.

With all the fluster of postings, I've found my head spinning trying to come up with the details, all of which would help me in my progress of finishing this. I really don't want it to take too long, and at the same time, I don't want it to be an unjust representation of a character he loved so much.

So, if anyone, anyone, would be able to come up with a good writen description of Skafloc, from eye color, hair, hieght, wieght, even down to what actor/famous person might have the closest face he visioned the character to have, anything, large or small, would help me out immensly. Even references from Warcraft art, offical or not, or even WoWModelViewer screenshots, of things the character might wear, would also be very helpful.

Didn't he always have that sig with Bradd Pitt in it?

As for hair color, guessing red, long hair.

For armor? Beats me, I always saw him in season gear in game, never really rped with him.

He had the ePhoenix season crossbow, and after learning about it's origins said he would never get rid of it. I believe he was using it when I last saw him, but not sure. It would be very appropriate tho for him to have. I think he was wearing green gear, but again I could just be romanticising what I saw him wearing. Here (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Twisting+Nether&n=Skafloc) is his armory-he still has some 70 gear, but did replace some with Northrend stuff. I remember him in a lot of season gear too-maybe someone could reconstruct his gearset from memory?

For a lot of BC he ran around in this Kara gear: http://renedreamer.com/Skafloc/WoWScrnShot_111307_181117.jpg

For a latter portion he had mostly ZA gear: http://renedreamer.com/Skafloc/WoWScrnShot_020608_224108.jpg

And here is the last screenshot I got of him in Northrend: http://renedreamer.com/Skafloc/WoWScrnShot_120508_215433.jpg (also: http://renedreamer.com/Skafloc/WoWScrnShot_120508_222238.jpg)

I know I had a few great shots of him in RP gear from a LONG time ago from various Vaedrin events. They're on my totally borked desktop, but I'll see what I can salvage.

Is WoW Model Viewer broken again? I tried the latest version and it keeps erroring out.

Then again, it's possible that there are no Wrath skins in WMV yet...

yeah, in order to use model viewer you have to have a separate WoW folder from your game folder that you patch up to to the WoW patch version before the one that borked it.

I will watch for descriptions of Skafloc as I begin sifting and editing through material tonight, and will cut-and-paste excerpts here.
