View Full Version : [LFRP] Rescue/Hero role for Netherlegends

I currently have two Netherlegends going for little Carmensita. The one titled "Howling on the Fjord" is current and I am in the midst of writing my third entry. She is in the snow swept mountains of the Fjord, completely lost, and will eventually reach a point where she cannot continue or will find herself in danger. Initially I had considered killing Carmen off but, I quickly put that idea out of my mind after realizing all the time and thought I've put into her. So what I need is someone who might stumble upon her out in the wilderness (likely after finding her flask). It doesn't need to be someone she knows well, or even at all. In fact, it might be more interesting if it someone she isn't too familiar with. If you are curious about the character...

This role will require a fairly high level of commitment, so make sure you are able before you assign yourself to the part. This person will likely always be remembered for this deed and will undoubtedly not go unrewarded for their chivalry. Any race, sex, class may apply... though it would be nice if their story somehow blended into the plot somewhat. Please PM if interested.
Thanks so much!

Kek.
The last time (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=6495) Leo got involved in something like this, the original poster vanished! With his record, Leo's involvement would likely = doom upon the damsel.
If things look dire though and the writing load isn't -tooooo- excessive ( I suck at keeping deadlines ), I'd be happy to have Leo play a part.

Saphiara takes a daily trip up the mountains to the east of Camp Winterhoof to visit the cleansing shrine there. She's currently on the edge of some kind of breakthrough, so I think rescuing someone else would do something for her. Let me know if you'd like to use her.

The amount of writing wouldn't be heinous. My other character has a Netherlegend going and generally (unless we are feeling rather creative that day) its about a post every day or so. Sometimes we go a few days w/o writing a thing but, as you can see (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=14112)... I'm rather committed to it. I play Yza and Menion, everyone else is played by others.
The other writer would be given allot of room to be creative and be themselves, I honestly don't have too much of an outline other than a few things that should probably happen but, most before she would even be found. The story might end up being rather long as I have a knack for dragging these things out to epic proportions. :D

Sent you a PM.
Zinny or Anias would work..although both for very different reasons
I'd normally have Aest do that, but, well.. He's kind of dead.
And Alivar isn't exactly a hero.

That's the best kind of person to force into a hero situation. Makes things interesting. /grin

Wow so many people to chose from. How 2 pick!?
Thanks to all who PMed me! I think I've found a good candidate. I will be doing an Alliance Netherlegend in the near future if anyone is interested, using my human warrior. I am quickly finding forum-style RP my preferred medium to work with.
Again thanks for all the offers, you guys are great!

Considering my in-game RP tends to be interspersed with ((hold on, someone is crying)) or ((need to make dinner/put kids to bed/check homework)), I also really like forum RP to give me a chance to keep something going with a little thought behind it.
And, give me a shove when you start the alliance piece or need some Carmen-Dwarf interaction!

^ I was actually considering both you and Yat, for the Howling story if he is alright with cross-faction.
And of course the future Alliance one. :)

Well, usually, yep.. To be fair, Aest isn't a hero either, but he has a shred of decency in him at least and will often do "heroic" things in a sinister, brutal way. He more than likely wouldn't be too happy about it either.
Alivar, on the other hand, just wouldn't do something like that. He'd more than likely pass by her and not bother with it. But if he did anything about it, he'd probably sit there and watch as something killed her with a smirk on his face.

I'd be cool with doing this, since I wanted to have Ninorra meet Carmen eventually.. but if someone already has it covered, maybe next time.

Likewise, Selash would easily step in to save Carmen, considering their past. If you want me in, just lemme know.

I ended up chosing Yatokth and Sifar for this. Thanks again to all who responded! I wish there was a way to include everyone, now I feel bad. :(
I will be doing lots of these in the future actually. So this definitely isn't a one time thing.

Gory goes rawr.
Selash couldn't save poop. He'd be too busy fixing his hair.
Selash: "So there I was...climbing in the mountains, looking for the fabled Hair Gel of Repentance. I saw a flask on the ground...and didn't care. My hair had like....FIVE SPLIT ENDS!!!! There was no way in hell I gave a damn about some artard lost in the mountains....I never found the hair gel. But damn....does wolf taste good or WHAT?!"

Holy shit, I lol'd so hard. XD
But to be on topic... I posted in another thread that Rand's just running around questing and occasionally doing something stupid, so if you ever need him to fall out of the sky and unexpectedly save the day (or just get laughed at), let me know.

DON'T SHOVE ME!!!! Imma grab my slingblade and wrangle me up some french fried mashed taters...
Wolf cracklin' for EVERYONE!!!
And Gory can't save anybody. He's too busy killing people. Menalai wouldn't give half a damn...and Morwin would freeze to death, being a nudist.
HAH!!! No god-mode savior for you!
