I'm coming here from Shadow Council (60 warlock 56 warrior and various others below 50) and I was wondering a few things.
What are known channels here for communication between roleplayers? On Shadow Council we have /ooc and /realmportal (realmportal is Shadow Council's version of this website http://shadowcouncil.realmportal.com/ )
What are some RP hotspots?
Is there a server IRC, Teamspeak or Ventrilo channel set up?
Any suggestions or tips on how to get a jump start in the community here?
Much appreciated.

We have a server RP channel /join RP same thing for both horde and alliance I believe, ooc channel for horde also...dont know about alliance.
Horde have lots and lots of RP guilds, most are medium-small in size although we have one massively uberly giant evil guild called the grim. Alliance I don't know enough about so wont pretend that I do. If you're on the horde side theres also the nether council which is essentially a group of RP guilds joining together so that we can...RP, group, talk etc. to other RPers without having to /gquit. Its hit some hard times recently but thats all over now so...yeah :)
I won't tell you to roll horde cuz we're better or roll alliance cuz they're better because I can't really know enough about the alliance to make that judgement, but if you do roll horde you'd always be welcome :)

As far as guilds, I think i'm pretty much set. I came to this server specifically to join the Cult of Kerahl. I may roll a horde as well, however. Horde RP on Shadow Council is very disappointing.

its definetly not disappointing here, there are people who dont RP and such, but I and others like me arent shy to talk to a GM about any problems we have with people in /say and such...even the horde guilds who arent RP based still tell their members to abide by the rules and RP in /say /yell /emote etc. (some exceptions to those too, but they're gonna die eventually)
anyway...horde side is really good for RP, as I said before I won't say if its better/worse than alliance...I'm just giving a one sided view on it

Well, fromw what I've seen alliance side, great RP too. You can usually find me just wondering the streets of Stormwind in my pretties, RPing and the like at random. There also has been some great cross-faction RP. <3 I haven't heard too much of your guild (though I did just seen someone from it with a great FlagRSP description... can't remember who it was now ^^() ) I haven't heard of any RP channels, but I'm still learning my way around this realm as well.
Ironforge, Stormwind and Goldshire seem to be the main RP hotspots alliance side. But... I'm not too keen on Lagforge, so I stick to the human lands and Darnassus. I personally got "jump-started" in the community by just talking to random people. ^^()
