The Outriders
The oceans heave, and the earth quakes, but the Horde does not falter! Come sons and daughters of the Horde, in this time of tribulation and false prophets rise up! Rise for your lands, your homes, your people! The Horde's leadership changes, and loyalties sway, but resolve must not!
We fight to preserve the place we have fought so hard to carve for ourselves, we fight to defend our people with honor! We are looking for dedicated soldiers in the War upon the Scourge and any other threat to the Horde’s people. Strength without weakness, unity with honor! Ride with us! We are the Outriders!
What we are:
In character we are a paramilitary organization, sponsored by the Horde in return for the protection of Horde peoples and territories wherever they may be. Out of character we are primarily an RP-PVP heavy guild with some raiding.
Our mission statement:
We seek to help our members become the best they can be through assistance leveling, gearing and even learning classes as they go. Outriders is primarily an RP-PVP guild so we also seek to establish ourselves in the roleplaying and PVP community and maintain a consistent level of participation in both.
In character, we seek to obliterate the Scourge and the Burning Legion utterly. To this end, we train our soldiers in offensive as well as defensive maneuvers. We do not tolerate hostilities toward the Horde from any faction, despite the present armistice and will mete out justice in kind.
All of this must be maintained with a sense of dignity and propriety befitting the warriors of the Horde.
What we offer:
Guild runs to help level characters. Guild associated World PVP as well as Battlegrounds, both premade and simply help one another in the daily grind. We also do not mind raiding between guilds for necessary equipment and for fun. We provide a friendly atmosphere for leveling, PVP, raiding etc. as well as the usual necessities: a forum, guild bank tabs, tabard, and a ooc channel.
Our Prerequisites:
In order to be considered for application into the guild, you must be level 15 or above, with a reason to join the Outriders and a pre-established feel for your character if you do not have an in character background. All Horde are eligible for application.
Guild Rules:
1. Always show respect to every player of the game no matter what they may say or do to you.
2. Honor. You must maintain a high regard to self-esteem as well as pride for the guild. If you ever find your self without pride in yourself or the guild then it is probably time to either talk with your officers and guild leaders or leave the guild on good terms.
3. Loyalty. Stand with your guild on all matters. This doesn’t mean you can’t voice your opinions, but don’t disregard official guild policy.
4. Follow the Lawful orders of the guild's Chain of Command.
5. Help other guild members when you can.
6. No taunting or gloating. Nothing lowers opinions of a guild faster than seeing people taunt or gloat over kills. You know if you’ve done something impressive or good. It’s expected, you’re part of The Outriders. There’s no reason to tell everybody else, especially the vanquished. (though feel free to share you accomplishments with your brothers in arms)
7. No trash talking. This is similar to the above. Let others talk, let yourself be a person of action whose deeds say all there is to say.
8. No harassing other players. We are about contributing to the fun of the game and having fun ourselves, harassing other players verbally or otherwise is not part of that.
9. Be respectful. Treat people with the respect you want to be treated with, even if you sometimes aren’t extended the same courtesy. Be above the petty stuff, you and The Outriders will be better for it in the end. Congratulate your enemies on their successes, don’t curse them. You’ll get them next time. In a guild of warriors, deaths occur, but a noble death is better than a shameful one.
10. Don’t retaliate. We’re not everyone else. We’re Outriders. That someone else behaves badly gives us no excuse to do the same. Walk away, even if that’s what it takes to remain civil. Because person X did something is no excuse for anything we do.
