That's what WAS awesome about FDI =/. After I disbanded the guild, I kinda hunted around for a guild, joined the Dusk Watch on my 80 rogue (lol @ Splintertree Post raids). Ran around with Top Notch some (they're really, really bad at organized PvP). It only took me a few weeks to realize that even though we were small and our arena ratings were crap, we were far and away the best group/world PvP guild Alliance side.

I wasn't going to find a decent group unless I started one. This discouraged me so much that I quit.

Also, as regards one man city defending: I have always held the view that one should stand up for what they believe to be right, even if they are standing alone.

I have always believed Alliance side here on TN was the underdog, and we get stomped a ton by the Horde. Many people alliance side are so discouraged that they simply do nothing and let the Horde players walk all over them.

I can only imagin what a horde raid group says about us when they get to a faction leader unopposed.

But I KNOW what a horde raid says when they wipe because their tank got cyclone'd by a single night elf druid who decided to stand up for his faction mates.

My view is "At least I'm TRYING." With that said. . .

But seriously, you're exactly right. It's not any fun for us to simply dominate the Alliance. There's 2 P's in PvP, but not if there's no other people to fight.

And as of late nobody really puts out a fight anymore Alliance side. Most recent fights we've had have consisted of people that think they're special when we kill them and come onto Horde alts to let us know as much, or random noobs attacking Tarren Mill and Thrallmar. Mind you, we've had some awesome fights out there - but it usually results in us rolling into an Alliance town, sitting in there for an hour with no other defense arriving, and then leaving bored.

We need an Alliance guild to step up and fill the gap that Fordragon left behind and dedicate itself to epic world PvP. There's only so many arenas and battlegrounds I can do before I get bored.

Amon Amarth is like the gateway drug into viking metal.
Really really really awesome for the first while you hear it, then incredibly lackluster when you realize how derivative and watered down their sound is compared to the vast breadth of other viking metal.
That being said, they do occupy an important niche, as nobody else really brings together the ridiculous tremolo picking and melodic leads that are so pleasing to the ear with a seven foot tall dude bellowing about battle. They're also good at writing super catchy music.
I'm also still baffled as to why their name translates to Mount Doom in Sindarin...
However, it is in the interest of spreading more and better viking metal to the populace that I give you
