Would it be possible for a Demon to have taken over the body of a Human paladin and still use the powers of the Light or take over a warlock and summon his brethren? Or if demons can even control a body?I saw someone post about demons controlling a body and thought, "I wonder how this works..."

I don't think it would too difficult for some of the more "advanced" demons. The Nathrezim (Dreadlords), for example, are actually known for being skilled manipulators/deceivers, ie Balnazzar.

Is it a sort of demi-entity, choosing the worthy to grant abilities to? Or merely a reservoir, like arcane magics? If the former, probably not. If the latter, yes. As for the warlock, I guess so, but if the demon is powerful enough to take over a powerful enough warlock, they'd probably have an Eredar contact who could do it better. Controlling a body is extremely believable.

As far as how much control demons can have on a body, that depends on how much you want to make up, or how much you want to stick to traditional Christian legends.

In a book I read a while back, 'Cycle of Hatred' demons could 'influence' but not directly control.

When it comes to any kind of mind control in the game, i think it can be summed up in the Undercity. Isnt there a chick there whos a mindslave via...science? The explanation was torture, bit of magic, and brain surgery. As long as a demon can do that much, it should be easy enough :P
