A general list of commonly accepted PvP cookie cutter specs, and maybe some zany specs too. Specs outside of the classes I play are not something I'm familiar with, so insight on most classes would be appreciated.

Note that discussion for specific specs should be reserved for new topics; this topic simply serves as a list. If you post a PvP spec, I'll add it (assuming it isn't already listed).

So 98% of the Horde is bad then!!!! Learn something new everyday. It's honestly why I retired from PvP. I would wear 0 Resil, no PvP trinket and still take down 2 to 4 people before being killed. AND NO!!! I wasn't ganking lowbies....often >.<

People suck at PvP.

Actually, I kill people sooo much faster and harder in my PvE spec/gear than when I switch it up. It's just if people decide to kill me back, I splatter all over the place. PvP spec/gear has a lot more defensive and control toys, theoretically allowing you to live longer and do more stuff. But when you already wear plate and can heal yourself, who cares about self-defense.

And discussion of why bother to spec for PvP at all seems valid enough, provided the original post is maintained? Guess it's up to Fhen.

But yeah, I have to agree 98&#37; of WoW Players are definitely bad. I still stand behind my original statement I said when I signed up for TNG though. RPers can be the best PvPers in the WORLD when given a reason to want to PvP. *kisses up to the Mods*

A Ret Paladin in T6 gear, which is better than 95% of the population of TN.

Maybe someday my Welfare Epic'ed Retnub will run into Heid 1 v 1, and we will see if the hype is true.

I'm not sure when it's happened, but Ret Paladins got a buff somewhere and they've been tearing people new orifices ever since. I've looked at the specs of the few ret paladins I've run into during PvP as of late and none of them have been PvP specced either.

Retadin damage is just flat insane on beta/PTR at the moment, and so is their survivability.

They're getting balanced though - devs have said so multiple times. So yeah, it won't be so bad.

The SL/SL spec you have for warlocks is a wee bit cookie cutterish. It's also got a lot of major flaws. It will get you to a 1800 rating, and probably higher with a good partner but I had a real problem after 2k rating with it. The current spec I have I like a lot, took some getting used too, but with it I have been able to do a lot and go pretty far.

Either way here it is, same point allocation to the two groups, just different places to put it in.

Then again it comes down to play style, though later in the ranks I find that even play style goes the wayside to tried and true tactics and number crunching. :-(
