Out of curiosity, is the plague still virulent? How is it spread? Does it still spread as much as it did before?
Because either way, it can't possibly be healthy to be hanging around in the Plaguelands grinding AD rep all day.

Right now, the only way to contract the Plague is to consume food that is infected by the Cauldrons, and, then, only if you are human.

Indeed.
the plague was never air-borne. Just don't *eat* anything while in Quel'thelas and you should be fine.
The Cauldrons are still spewing out Blight and Pestilence.
But the Forsaken are working diligently with the Apothecarium to reverse the cauldron's effect to instead destroy the Blight and turn back the Scourge.

So are the Argent dawn through Chillwind Point. It'd be easier, however, if we were left alone there...

Actually the Argent Dawn Camp is in the Bulwark.
Lordaeron has territorial Claim. Lordaeron proper is ruled by the Forsaken. As such, the nation of Stormwind's encampments are a hostile invasion.

Then why is there an Argent Dawn Quartermaster, as well as officers?
Kiss my boots, orc-thing.

There's that in the Bulwark too.
Orc ones.

I think cannibalism is largely what caused it.

OP: Good question. I have wondered that myself from time to time.
Note to self: when in the Plaguelands, pack a lunch.

The Hell if I know. Look it up in thottbot.
It it's just an elite rare, we can't draw any conclusions.
If it's an alliance quest? Well, there you go.
It's been 2 years since I've been Alliance.

According to the new lore on trolls, the Mossflayer tribe got infected because Mr. Lich managed to infect one, then used him as a mole. Apparently there's a scrap of diary somewhere that has him begging someone to kill him before he got home.

Yeah, general WTF on Scourge in Duskwood. How did they get that far south, and what are they doing?
And damnit, most trolls are cannabalistic, it's inherent to their culture.
And damnit again, players might not make up the bulk of a faction, so the 'Evil' Forsaken, though more common as players, may not be the bulk of the race. And I still think there's a lot less evil on the server than you thin, only three guilds really. You're just looking too hard for it.
And most Forsaken do follow the will of Sylvanas, who is admittadely evil in her own way. They may not themselves be evil, but they follow evil leadership. Much like some real-life organizations.

The undead in Duskwood aren't Scourge, but a remnant of the same thing that happened to Deadwind Pass, the twisted experiments of the possessed Medivh. As well as the Blasted Lands, that used to be a swamp called the Black Morass, much like the Swamp of Sorrows.

I see, so then they have no relation to the Scourge? All right, that clears things up.
Was it Medihv's experiments that caused Duskwood to be cursed? I know it used to be Grand Hamlet, but my Warcraft 1 lore is a little shaky.

Very much so. Medivh, or Sargeras, rather, (and the Dark Iron Dwarves) really messed up the southern half of the Eastern Kingdoms.

ah!
I was actually planning on asking about the undead around Ravenhill, but you guys have anticipated my question and already answered it.
Maybe all Horde aren't bad after all...
meh..I'll still kill you all!

His name starts with a 'Z'...
And what's wrong with cannibal trolls? My troll is a cannibal...
I wish I could have him here... stupid Lightninghoof... *grumblegrumble*
He'd think Zust was a poofter.

I looted the note.
It's found in the Cemetary where Tirion's False Grave is in the Eastern Plaguelands. That's how I knew of it.
Furthermore, lthe Burning Legion are the cause of what is occuring in the Black Morass (Blasted Lands). There's no scourge there. all of them are currently under the control of Lord Kazzak, a Daemon Lord (Rakh'likh is his Lieutenant) who is currently holding the strongest bastion against anyone going into Outland where (he assumes) Magtheridon is still in control.
Thirdly, according to the conspiracy theory regarding the relic that connects the huge WORGEN questline that goes everywhere from Duskwood to Ashenvale to Darkshore to Silverpine that only the Alliance has access to about the SCYTHE of Elune, the Black Raiders, which are most likely the new caretakers of Karazhan, are lead by none other than the most powerful and dreaded Warlock to ever be made: Teron Gorefiend, the most powerful Acolyte of the Shadow Council.
If this--the last Orcish Death Knight pre-Scourge--Warlock is indeed the cause of the search for this fabled relic of the ancients, then the Horde will be forced to act, as he will propose to be the ULTIMATE leader of the shadow Council and as far as the Horde is concerned: Public enemy #1
